Nick Wilde

Full name Nicholas Piberius "Nick" Wilde. A con artist fox, the first fox police officer in Zootopia, also known by various nicknames such as Nicky, Dumb Fox, and Orange Dog. Due to the trauma of being discriminated against as a child, he doesn't trust others easily, but he also has a soft side, as he stood up for Judy at the police chief's office, even though they had only just met, and was hurt enough to leave Judy. Eventually, he revives his childhood sense of justice and becomes the first fox police officer in Zootopia. He is also highly intelligent, as Judy, who graduated top of her class at the police academy, vouches for his 'qualifications as a police officer.' The fact that he was a former con artist gives him an advantage in understanding the psychology of his associates, but he also excels in strategic planning, rhetoric, preparation, and improvisation. In a matter of minutes, he devised a plan to overcome an unfavorable situation with his injured friend, while also tricking and outsmarting Bellwether, and succeeded perfectly. He even recommended the route he would take to avoid surveillance cameras if he were a criminal. Being a Zootopia native with a lot of experience in the underworld, he is knowledgeable about Zootopia's social and cultural norms and has a rich network of contacts, so he seeks help from non-police personnel like Flash and Finnick in emergencies. He likes sweets, eating snacks like blueberries, and always carries or frequently wears sunglasses when working as a police officer during the day, and he seems to have quite a few, as he wears different ones each time he appears. Judy even threw away his sunglasses, but he immediately pulled out another pair from his shirt.

In fact, when he was young, Nick dreamed of being a ranger, and his mother, despite their poor circumstances, worked hard to provide him with a uniform. Nick joined the ranger team as the only predator member, but he was subjected to bullying and forced to wear a metal muzzle by the other herbivore members, which caused him great trauma. He met Finnick there for the first time and went from being rivals to best friends. He is said to have a fear of heights. There are various reasons, in addition to his childhood past, that led to Nick's crooked path. Also, when asked if he had any romantic or unrequited love experiences, he stated that while he may have had interesting pasts, he never had a partner with whom he truly opened his heart and became close. He eats Jumbo Hard every Friday after work. He has stated that he is uncomfortable with reptiles. He went to the naturalist club without any problems, but on the contrary, he seems to be completely unable to adapt to the habits of reptiles and is embarrassed. When Judy visited Nick's apartment, the interior was revealed. Compared to the narrow, soundproofed studio apartment Judy had, it was much larger and equipped with living furniture such as a sofa, TV, and electric guitar, but the interior was filled with clutter and messy. He keeps the house dark and only turns on a few lights.
