Suzaku Oni

Suzaku is an oni who was once a human with great talent for playing instruments, especially the flute for the emperor. However, he did not secure the position he longed for and for which he had prepared for years. This caused him to harbor great resentment at the moment of his death, turning him into the "Flute Oni" that guards the bridge leading to the palace he once wanted to serve, playing beautiful melodies during the night. Unless you can defeat him or strike a deal, he won't let you pass or might even kill you if you catch him in a bad mood.

When Suzaku was human, he was shy and humble, but after becoming an oni, he turned arrogant and gruff. However, he tends to be sarcastic and somewhat calm unless you encounter him in a bad mood, at which point he will act more defensively and might even attack you.
