Gunther — Museum curator, awkward and nerdy, obsessive about artifacts and donations.
Jas — Young girl, Shane and Marnie's niece/ward. Shy around strangers, close friends with Vincent, loves fairy tales.
Jodi — Sam and Vincent's mother, Kent's wife. Devoted, slightly overwhelmed homemaker who worries about her husband and sons.
Kent — Jodi's husband, war veteran, returns partway through year one. Struggles quietly with what he went through, distant at first, warms up over time.
Krobus — A shadow-person (voidling) living in the sewers. Formal, melancholic, self-aware about being an "evil" creature stereotype; can be a roommate.
Lewis — Mayor, mustached older man. Prim, image-conscious, secretly in a long romance with Marnie he's too embarrassed to admit publicly.
Linus — Lives in a tent in the mountains. Kind, philosophical, chooses a simple life outside the money economy; town treats him as an outsider but he's steady and wise.
Marnie — Runs the ranch, Jas and Shane's aunt. Warm, a bit ditzy, in a decades-long secret relationship with Lewis.
Marlon — Adventurer's Guild leader. Stoic, battle-hardened veteran monster hunter, mentor figure for combat-minded players.
Mister Qi — Mysterious casino owner on Ginger Island. Cryptic, manipulative, enjoys testing the player with odd challenges.
Morris — Joja Mart manager. Smarmy, corporate, condescending about "backwater" Pelican Town.
Pam — Bus driver, Penny's mother. Struggles openly with alcoholism; blunt and a little coarse but not without warmth.
Pierre — Runs the general store, Caroline's husband, Abigail's father. Small-business owner anxious about competition from Joja Mart; a bit prickly and competitive.
Robin — Carpenter, Demetrius's wife, Sebastian and Maru's mother. Cheerful, hardworking, practical — builds/upgrades the player's house and buildings.
Sandy — Runs the Oasis shop in the desert. Isolated but upbeat, lonely for company out in the desert.
Vincent — Sam's little brother, Jas's best friend. Playful young kid, into simple childhood adventures.
Willy — Old fisherman, runs the fish shop. Salty sea-dog energy, passionate about fishing and the ocean, kind mentor figure.
Wizard (M. Rasmodius) — Reclusive magic-user in a tower on the edge of town. Eccentric, secretive, ancient, has a tangled unspoken history with Krobus.
SVE — New/Expanded Characters
Sophia — Young woman living at Blue Moon Vineyard runs the vineyard's grape harvest. She has a sweet personality once you get to know her, but she gets nervous and jumpy often. Has pink hair.
Andy — Gruff, isolated farmer at Fairhaven Farm in Cindersap Forest. Loyal Joja supporter and devout Yoba believer, doesn't get along with most of the town (especially Lewis), and has an unrequited, awkward crush on Olivia.
Olivia — Wealthy elderly woman who drives her own car around the valley. Refined, independent, sharp-tongued, uninterested in Andy's advances; has a hidden softer, sentimental side about her past.
Susan — Andy's mother, works alongside Martin. Practical, no-nonsense older woman rooted in old valley traditions.
Martin — Works with Susan; a steady, hardworking background figure tied to the farming/labor side of the expanded world.
Claire — Cashier at Joja Mart (later the movie theater concessions attendant), lives in the countryside. Stuck in a retail rut she resents, dreams of a bigger life; a romanceable "ascended" version of a background vanilla NPC — warm, a little world-weary, quietly hopeful.
Morgan — Mister Qi's granddaughter, a sharp, somewhat mischievous kid being groomed by the Wizard as a magical apprentice.
Lance — A hunter who lives out in Forest West. Solitary, outdoorsy, comfortable with wilderness and animals over people.
Scarlett — Sophia's best friend and fellow cosplayer from the city of Grampleton, visits and calls often. Bubbly, creative, close long-distance friendship with Sophia; father sometimes buys goods at Marnie's.
Camilla, Isaac & Alesia — Grampleton-based side characters (planned future marriage candidates) who currently appear in limited scenes; personalities are still lightly sketched compared to the fuller cast.
Apples — A young Junimo (forest spirit) companion encountered in the expanded world — small, gentle, wordless, and treated as an adorable non-romantic "best friend" character.
Henchman — A minor antagonist-adjacent figure tied to Mister Qi's operations; more of a plot/atmosphere character than a deep personality.

Ian — Co-founder of Odd Jobs Services, always wears a beanie. Hardworking to a fault, sends most of his pay home to support his little sister's education; he struggles to read but has an enormous heart.
Jeric — Runs a shop out of Blooming Hill Farm, an orphan raised by the Governor. Charming and flirtatious, treats his own farm as playful "rivalry" with the player — really just an excuse to be near them.
June — A traveling pianist with strikingly pale hair who stays at the Log Cabin Hotel through fall and winter. Elegant and well-traveled, left a comfortable city career behind for something more meaningful.
Kenneth — The village's electrician and a well-meaning, accident-prone inventor. Lives alone near the cable car station; built a helper robot named Howdy, and his DIY gadgets tend to go hilariously wrong.
Philip — A muscular physiotherapist assigned to care for Shiro. Easygoing and kind, with a secret love of comic books and action figures under the jock exterior.
Sean — Co-founder of Odd Jobs Services, a transgender man, and Ian's polar opposite in work ethic. Playful, funny, prone to pranks, and openly shares his own experience with the village kids.
Shiro — Naomi's son, Yuuma's older brother, a former paratrooper left disabled after a training accident. Carries a visible scar and a complicated relationship with his injury, but is deeply protective of his little brother.
