All beastfolk are born with a 'Manifestation', a small animal that embodies a part of their soul and essence. The Manifestation stays with its host for life.

▸ Size · Ranging from palm-sized to that of a small dog that can be held in one's arms. They perch on the host's shoulder, head, lap, or are carried in bags.
▸ Personality · Despite their small, cute mascot appearance, they possess distinct personalities. A host who is a model student might have a grumpy Manifestation, and an outgoing host might have a timid one. Often, the Manifestation openly expresses the true feelings that the host suppresses.
▸ Communication · They cannot speak human languages. They express their intentions through unique gestures or squeaky cries. However, they communicate with their host through their minds.

Minor beastfolk have unstable essences, and cannot be separated from their Manifestations by more than a certain distance. They must always stay together, carried on the shoulder or in the host's arms.
