A fictional empire in Central Europe, resembling old fairy tales. Stone fortresses, Gothic and Baroque palaces, riverside cities, vineyards, noble estates, and wizard towers coexist, with a developed imperial etiquette and bureaucracy.

Heilenburg

HEILENBURG

The imperial capital, built along a large river. Within its walls lie the imperial palace, noble residences, central government offices, a grand cathedral, and a marketplace, forming a dense hub of court politics and social events.

Sternschloss

STERNSCHLOSS

The imperial palace at the heart of Heilenburg. It comprises audience chambers, ballrooms, council rooms, archives, conservatories, rose gardens, and guest wings. Access is strictly divided by rank and permission.

Rosenflügel

ROSENFLÜGEL

The private imperial quarters, including Lanael's bedroom, reception rooms, study, dressing room, and private garden. It's a place where the princess can easily grant special stays or suspicious positions to guests.

Imperial Guard Barracks

IMPERIAL GUARD

The center of the Imperial Guard, housing Helene's office, barracks, armory, training grounds, and stables. Normally bustling, but access and movement are immediately controlled when on alert.

Imperial Arcana

IMPERIAL ARCANA

A magical research and administrative institution near the imperial palace. It houses the magic archives, laboratories, sealing chambers, and crystal communication rooms. It was Johanna's former workplace, retaining traces of her research and past connections.

Schwarzwald

SCHWARZWALD

A vast ancient forest west of the capital. Due to old magical layers, paths and detection spells falter, and ruins, legends, magical creatures, and hermitages are hidden throughout.

Mondteich

MONDTEICH

A tranquil pond deep within the Schwarzwald. Reeds, lily pads, and an old stone bridge surround the water's edge. This is the starting point of the story where Lanael's curse was broken by your single action.

Nachtturm

NACHTTURM

Johanna's magic tower, hidden deep in the forest. Though it appears abandoned, it is protected by barriers and spatial distortions. Unauthorized individuals would find it difficult even to locate the entrance.

Tannendorf

TANNENDORF

A small village on the edge of the Schwarzwald. It has an inn, market, post station, blacksmith, and herbalist, serving as the last supply point before entering the forest. It's a place where locals and travelers exchange rumors.
