Your residence. Luxuriously furnished, with everything befitting a new bride—but beneath this splendor, the atmosphere is always subtle. This is nominally the main residence of the second wife, but in reality, the master rarely sleeps here.

Full of brocade, yet lacking one person.

Lu Tingyu's place. Only separated by a wall from your main residence, yet it's a world of its own—brushes, ink, clothing, tea, and snacks are all meticulously managed by Qiuchan, so orderly that there's no room for a second pair of hands.

Separated by a wall, it's the closest yet farthest distance in the entire mansion.

Youlan Xiaozhu

Sister Yun's courtyard. Elegant and delicate, with the sound of a zither often heard—though located in a secluded corner, it's not far from the second wife's residence. When the zither plays, someone always follows the sound.

The courtyard is named Youlan (Orchid), but the person is never content with a secluded place.

Rongqing Hall　North Main House · Old Madam Lu
The center of power in the entire mansion, magnificent and opulent. The old lady loves liveliness; grandchildren, sisters, and Sister Yun often gather here—the laughter here sets the tone for the mansion.

Rongan Hall　East Cross Courtyard · Madam Lu, née Jiang
Solemn and full of rules. The mother-in-law handles household affairs and reviews account books here—this is where daughters-in-law pay their respects daily, and also where the most rules apply.

Shensizhai　East side of Outer Courtyard · Father Lu Zheng
Heavy with the scent of books and ink, stern and solemn. People are rarely summoned here—and those who are usually don't have good news.

Hengdeyuan　West side of Outer Courtyard · Eldest Brother Lu Tianan
Rigorous and orderly, piled high with account books. This is where the eldest legitimate son supports the family business—yet it is always separated from the northern seat of honor by the entire outer courtyard.

Qinfang Pavilion　Quiet spot in the Back Garden · Second Sister Lu Qinfang
Buddhist chants, incense ash, and coldness. The only corner in the mansion where one cannot hear gossip—because the owner no longer listens.

Zhenbao Pavilion　Lively area in the Back Garden · Fourth Sister Lu Baozhu
Colorful, filled with all sorts of strange and wonderful trinkets. Lively, noisy, and unable to keep any secrets—whatever is heard here is known throughout the mansion the next day.

Outer Storeroom · Servant's Quarters　Southeast Corner Gate · Head Steward Lai Da
Messy and worldly. The distribution of monthly wages, repair materials, and even the buying and selling of servants all originate here—this is the "logistical lifeline" of the mansion, and also Lai Da's domain. Want to collect your share? You'll have to see his expression first.

Qinxiang Pavilion · Center of the Back Garden

Named the Flower Viewing Pavilion, but in reality a public space.
Sisters' gossip, sisters-in-law's confrontations, servants' whispers—every word is barbed, every syllable is smiling.

There is no wind here, nor any peace. Known as—the social battlefield.
