[종족: 악마] 지구에 악이 스며든 이래, 죄를 지어 악에 물들어 사후에 심판을 받고 그 구렁텅이(=지옥)로 떨어졌거나, 혹은 그 지옥에서 나고 자란 대부분의 생물들. 기본적으로 살아생전 죄를 짓고 죽은 인간들은 지옥행이 결정되어 지옥으로 보내진 인간들도 악마로 변하게 된다. 이런 이들을 죄인(Sinner)이라고 불리며 지옥의 한 축을 담당하게 된다. 지옥에는 죄인 출신의 악마만 있는 건 아니고, 지옥에서 나고 자랐거나, 혹은 인간이 타락한 존재가 아니라 루시퍼처럼 형벌을 받고 지옥에 떨어지게 된 천사 같은 존재도 있다. 이들은 죄인과는 달리 자손을 가지는 것도 가능하며, 매 해마다 천사들에 의해 벌어지는 '학살의 날'의 학살 대상에서 제외된다. 이는 지옥의 왕인 루시퍼가 천사들과 협상하여 얻어낸 결과물. 죄를 짓고 산 이들이 지옥으로 떨어져 거기서 또 사회를 이루고 사는 데다, 그렇게 몰려든 이들이 만드는 분위기도 폭력적이고 무질서하다 보니 지옥, 특히 죄인들이 몰려드는 오만의 층은 막장이 되었고 그곳 악마들은 피와 폭력, 범죄에 찌들어 살아가고 있다.
악마나 죄인들은 서로 죽일 수 없으며, 다치게 하는 것까지만 가능하다. 오로지 천사가 사용하는 무기만이 이들을 죽일 수 있으며, 그 무기들은 지옥의 암시장에서 팔리고 있다. 인간이 만든 무기와 약물도 악마에게 통한다. 악마들은 영혼 거래 등의 계약을 하거나 상대의 힘을 직접 강탈함으로써 강해질 수 있다. 특히 대죄와 맺어지는 계약은 영원히 지속된다. 다만 이 계약도 채권자뿐만 아니라 채무자도 어느 정도의 힘과 자격이 있어야 가능하며 채권자가 아무리 원해도 채무자의 자격요건이 안되면 계약이 안된다고 한다. 지옥에서 사망한 악마들은 그대로 녹아내려서 주변의 지형물과 융합된다. 이렇게 죽은 죄인과 토박이들 몸은 지형물에 융합되지만 이들의 영혼은 아무것도 없는 공허에 끌려가 아무것도 느끼지 못하고 아무것도 생각해내지 못하는 상태로 영원히 공허를 떠돌게 된다고 한다. 물론 죄인과 토박이들도 이 사실을 알고 있으나 이들의 반응은 "그래서 어쩌라고?"라는 식이다. 사실상 죽으면 아무것도 느끼거나 생각하지 못한다는 건 죽으면 끝이라는 것과 별 차이가 없어서 사후세계에 집착하지 않는 이상 별 타격이 없을 듯하다. 모든 악마들은 완전한 악마 혹은 괴물의 모습으로 변할 수 있다. 이는 데몬폼이라 한다. 모든 지옥 태생 악마들은 인간모습으로 변신할 수 있는 능력이 있다. 참고로 인간세계에서 인간으로 변신하지 않고 활동하여 인간들에게 걸리거나 대형사고를 치면 분노의 고리를 다스리는 사탄에게 처벌되는 듯하다. 악마들은 지상의 불에 면역이다. 단 지옥의 불에는 화상을 입거나 심지어 사망할 수 있다. 오직 지옥에서 태어난 존재만이 지옥 7계층의 각 고리를 넘나들 수 있다. 지옥 7계층의 각 고리는 지옥의 엘레베이터로 이동할 수 있다. 엘리베이터 대기 공간은 마치 열차 승강장처럼 구성되어 있으며 엘레베이터의 규모가 매우 크고 앉을 수 있는 좌석도 구비되어 있다. 열차같은 개념인 듯 하다. 악마들도 지옥에서 기념일을 축하하며 보낸다. 지옥에서는 크리스마스가 아닌 신스마스이고 산타 클로스가 아닌 크람푸스의 방문을 기대한다고 한다. 악마들의 피는 검은색 아니면 붉은색이다. 마법이나 특수한 능력은 오버로드를 비롯한 왕족, 귀족 악마들에게만 허락된 힘으로 보인다. 악마들은 이승에서는 그 힘이 약해진다. 지옥에서 합법적으로 이승과 지옥의 왕래가 가능한건 아스모데우스 휘하의 인큐버스와 서큐버스 그리고 스톨라스같은 게티아의 악마 정도로 몇없고 그외는 불법이다. 할로윈은 령들이 일어나 생자와 함께 할 수 있는 날이라 지옥 태생들은 자유롭게 이승에 갈 수 있다.
지옥에는 계급 체계가 존재하며 순서대로 나열하면 루시퍼–>찰리&릴리스–>루시퍼를 제외한 칠최종의 악마–>게티아의 악마–>오버로드–>죄인–>지옥 태생 악마–>임프와 헬하운드. 다만 계급 체계 자체는 실질적인 힘이 없다. 지옥의 악마들은 기본적으로 반권위주의적 성향을 지닌 경우가 많기 때문인 듯하며, 그렇기에 계급보단 물리적인 힘이나 재산, 명성 혹은 인격적인 면 등에서 위협적인 이들에게 복종하는 경향이 있다. 대부분의 경우 높은 계급에 위치할수록 가진 힘도 강력하기 때문에 계급 체계가 지켜지는 것처럼 보일 때가 많긴 하나, 악마는 계약이나 직접 상대의 힘을 빼앗는 행위로 이론상 계속해서 강해질 수 있기 때문에 계급상 자신보다 상위인 일반적인 악마들보다도 높은 권력을 지닌 이들이 분명히 존재한다. 그 예시가 그런 부류들 중에서도 압도적인 힘을 가져 태생적 출신으로 분류되는 계급 체계에서 출신과 상관없이 분류되어 인정받고 있는 오버로드일 것이다.
칠최종의 악마는 교만의 악마 루시퍼, 탐욕의 악마 마몬, 분노의 악마 사탄, 색욕의 악마 아스모데우스, 식욕의 악마 베엘제붑, 나태의 악마 벨페고르, 질투의 악마 레비아탄이다. 각 악마들은 칠죄종에 해당하는 지옥의 고리 중 자신으로 대표되는 죄악의 고리에서 강한 영향력을 발휘하며, 이 중 루시퍼는 전 지옥의 왕이다. 왕족과 칠죄종, 게티아의 악마들은 모두 불멸이다. 게티아의 악마까지는 특수한 천사의 무기로 죽일 수 있지만 왕족은 천사의 무기로도 죽일수 없으며 오로지 고위천사들만이 죽일수 있다고 한다.
게티아의 악마는 파이몬, 아스모데우스, 퀸 비 리자버브, 마몬, 레비아탄, 벨페고르, 사탄, 스톨라스, 옥타비아, 바사고, 안드레알푸스, 스텔라 등. 게티아의 악마들끼리도 작위가 나뉘어 있는데, 계급 자체는 동일하나 그 속에서도 군왕이나 대공, 후작등 여러 작위들로 나뉘어 있는걸로 보인다.
지옥의 군주(오버로드)는 칠죄종과 게티아의 악마 다음으로 높은 권위를 자랑하는 악마들. 태반이 죄인태생이지만 꼭 죄인이 아니더라도 오버로드의 직위에 오르지 못하는 건 아니다. 특이하게도 대부분의 오버로드가 본인만의 사업체를 가지고 있다. 단순히 힘만 센 것이 아니라 지옥 내부의 인프라나 자원을 독점하다시피 하는 사업을 펼쳐 막대한 부를 쌓아올리고 있는 듯. 사업과 계약으로 힘과 영향력을 키우는걸 보면 문자 그대로 부르주아 계급에 해당하는 걸로 보인다. 이들이 무조건 대립하는 것이 아니라 필요에 따라 동맹을 맺거나 의논을 하는 장면이 나왔다. 최소한 해당 자리에서 만큼은 서로가 서로를 존중하는 모습을 보여준다. 카밀라의 말에 따르면 오버로드들을 다 합치면 수백만 명의 영혼을 계약으로 소유하고 있다고 한다. 오버로드는 알래스터, 로지, 복스, 벨벳, 발렌티노, 프레더릭 폰 엘드리치, 베데스다 폰 엘드리치, 카밀라 카마인, 제스티얼, 지지(Zeezi) 등. 허스크는 오버로드였으나 박탈당했다.
죄인은 죽은 뒤 지옥에 온 죄인들은 무작위로 외형이 결정되며 복장, 목소리 또한 변경된다. 밈지처럼 기본형태가 순수한 인간형태는 적은걸로 보이며, 몇몇 죄인들은 본인의 사망 원인과 취향이 직, 간접적으로 외형에 영향을 주는 경우도 있는 모양. 죄인들은 자식을 가질 수 없다. 이것은 죄인들에게 내려진 일종의 벌이며 오직 지옥 태생들만이 자식을 가질 수 있다. 다만 생전부터 부모자식 관계였다면 상관 없다. 죄인들은 지옥에 도착하면 보통 악마로써의 새로운 이름 혹은 별명을 지어낸다. 다만 알래스터 같이 생전의 이름을 그대로 사용하는 예외도 있다. 죄인은 제1층, 오만의 고리에서만 존재하며 이곳을 벗어나 다른 지옥의 고리로 이동할 수 없다.
구울은 카니발 콜로니에 주로 살고 있는 1910년대 복장의 인간과 유사하나 창백한 피부와 완전히 검은 눈 흰자위에 날카로운 이빨이 특징인 지옥 토박이들. 외부죄인을 주로 친절하게 대하다 잡아먹는 육식성이다. 로지와 수잔 등이 포함된다.
임프의 성별은 뿔과 머리카락으로 구분할 수 있다. 남성은 검은색과 흰색의 두꺼운 줄무늬가 있는 뿔과 흰 머리카락을 갖고 있고, 여성은 검은색 바탕에 얇은 흰색 줄무늬가 있는 뿔과 검은 머리카락을 가지고 있다. 기본적으로 임프는 빨간 피부지만 상처가 났던 부위는 흰색으로 변한다.
헬 하운드는 역시 지옥 토박이들이며 개, 여우 또는 늑대 같이 갯과 동물 수인형상의 악마들 루나와 볼텍스가 포함된다. 크라이미니 역시 개같은 외모 때문에 착각할수 있겠지만 헬하운드가 아닌 하이에나 악마이며 죄인이다. 헬하운드 지위는 임프보다 낮거나 비슷한 듯하다. 헬 하운드는 식탐의 고리 태생이 대부분인 듯.

[종족: 천사] 천사들의 외형은 악마들과 마찬가지로 각양각색이다. 해즈빈 호텔에서의 언급으로는 얼굴이 날개 및 눈알이 달린 고리로 이루어진 천사, 충인형 천사, 조류를 비롯한 동물의 모습을 한 수인형 천사 등 다양한 모습의 천사가 존재한다. 색감은 대개 붉은색 및 기타 어두운 색을 베이스로 하는 악마들과는 반대로 연하늘색, 연노란색 등 전체적으로 밝고 화사한 색을 띠며, 캐릭터의 테두리 선 역시 단순한 검정색이 아닌 각자의 배색에 어울리는 파스텔 톤으로 그려진다. 그 피 또한 밝은 금빛이다. 악마들이 악마화하여 진정한 모습을 드러내는 것처럼 천사들 역시 천사로서의 본모습을 드러내는 완전천사화 능력을 지닌다. 천사들의 날개는 신체의 일부로, 해즈빈 호텔에서 묘사되는 바로는 날개로 날아다닐 수 있는 것은 물론 날지 않을 때에는 보이지 않게 숨길 수도 있다. 규칙 상 인간을 보호해야 한다는 절대적인 의무가 있으며 이를 어길 시에는 천국에서 추방된다. 악마의 개입 등 천사 본인이 의도한 바가 아니라고 해도 이를 입증할 방법이 없으면 간접 살해로 판정되어 의무를 위반한 것이 된다. 기본적으로 천사들은 악마들에 비해 상대적으로 강하다고 하며, 일부 고위급 천사들의 경우 그 힘의 차이는 압도적인 수준이라고 한다. 다만 이는 지품천사 이상의 고위급 천사들에게만 해당되는 이야기로 보인다. 인간의 무기와 약물 등은 천사에게도 통한다. 천사 대 악마의 싸움에서 천사의 무기를 지니지 않은 어지간한 악마는 일방적으로 천사에게 밀릴 뿐이지만, 악마가 천사의 무기를 사용한다면 그 상대가 고위급 또는 제거자 수장 격의 천사가 아닌 이상 서로 간의 힘의 차이는 거의 없는 셈이 된다. 애초에 상대의 목숨을 끊는 데에 천사의 무기가 필요한 것이지, 단순히 상처를 입히는 것은 주먹 다짐만으로도 충분하다. 권위에 반항하고 존중하려 하지 않는 악마들과는 달리 천사들은 특별한 경우가 아니라면 권위에 복종한다.

[종족: 위너] 죄인(Sinners)와 반대되는 카드(위너스(WINNERS))로 나왔으며 죽어서 천국에 온 인간 출신이거나 드물게 갱생한 죄인태생의 천사로 추정된다. 죄인과 다르게 이들은 선량하게 살다가 죽어서 천국으로 온 인간의 영혼이여서 죄인과 다른 외형을 갖고 있을 것으로 추정됐으나, 실제 위너들의 모습을 보면 대부분 생각이 긍정적이거나 정상적인 것을 빼면 지옥과 별 차이 없다. 죄인과 다르게 이들은 선량하게 살아서 죽어서 천국으로 온 인간의 영혼이여서 벌을 받아 불임으로 자식을 가질 수 없는 죄인과 다르게 번식이 가능할 것으로 추정된다.

[종족: 제거자] 일반적인 천사와 달리, 검은색 몸과 일그러진 미소가 뜬 LED 가면을 착용한 꽤 섬뜩한 모습의 천사이다. 주로 날붙이를 사용한다. 일반 병들은 직날 창을, 그외 직속 부하들의 경우는 할버드나 장검 등 다양하게 개별적으로 커스터마이즈된 장병기를 사용하는 인원도 있다. 일반 천사들과 달리 이들은 악마나 죄인들을 죽일 때마다 말로 형용할 수 없는 기쁨을 느끼게 창조되었다 한다. 성별은 수장인 아담만 남성이고 나머지는 전원 여성으로 구성되어 있다.

[종족: 인간] 이승을 살아가는 인간들이다. 천국으로 들어가는 조건이 상당히 깐깐하고 인간들이 사는 세상 역시 하도 막장이라서 많은 수의 영혼이 죄인이 되어 지옥으로 떨어진다. 당장 블리츠 일행이 인간세상을 보고 지옥과 다른게 없다고 할 정도.

[종족: 신] 본 세계를 만들고 태초의 천사와 악마 인간의 시조 등을 창조한 존재. 직접 출현하지는 않지만 존재여부를 추측할 수 있다. 일단 인간들에 대한 심판과 구원을 담당하고 있는 것으로 추측된다. 제거자 천사들을 신이 창조했다면 지옥학살에도 신이 개입한 것으로 추정된다. 그러나 한편으로는 모두를 구하기 위해서 자기희생한 펜셔스 경을 갱생한 인물로 판단. 그를 천국에 위너로 부활시켜 주었다.

[학살의 날] 지옥에서 매 해마다 벌어지는 이벤트로, 처형자로 불리는 천사들이 특정 날에 오만의 층으로 내려와 죄인 출신 악마들을 학살하는 날을 말한다. 최초의 인간출신 악마라고 할 수 있는 릴리스가 지옥을 나름대로 살기 좋게 바꾼 이후, 해가 갈수록 지옥으로 떨어지는 죄인들이 많아지고, 그에 따라 지옥의 인구수가 폭발적으로 증가하게 된다. 허나 지옥의 인구수가 많아져 그 힘이 커지고, 그 힘으로 천국에 대항할것을 걱정하던 천사들은 주기적으로 지옥의 죄인들을 청소하여 지옥이 천국에 대항하는 힘을 가지지 못하게 하기 위한 일종의 예방 차원의 학살이라고 할 수 있다. 이때 두 뿔이 달리고 검은 가면을 쓴 천사들이 내려와 한 해의 하룻동안 죄인 출신의 악마들을 학살한다. 단, 루시퍼의 협상으로 지옥 태생의 악마들은 이 학살대상에서 제외된다. 지옥에는 다음 학살의 카운트다운을 알 수 있는 모래시계가 존재한다. 여하튼 한바탕 학살이 끝나면 지옥의 공주인 샬럿 모닝스타가 학살이 끝났음을 선포하는 신호탄을 쏘면 마무리. 본래 학살의 날에는 죄인악마와 하급 토박이들 구분없이 학살했으나 루시퍼와의 협상으로 모든 지옥태생들이 학살에서 제외된 것은 비교적 최근의 일이다. 학살의 날에 지옥의 힘을 약화시킨다는 목적치고는 천사에게 직접적으로 피해를 줄 수 있는 왕족과 게티아 귀족, 오버로드는 냅두고 일반죄인들과 하급토박이만 학살하는 것에 의문을 갖는 사람들도 있다. 이건 전력 부족 문제 때문이다. 상술했듯 '학살의 날'을 아는 천사는 세라와 제거자들뿐이다. 세라는 입장상 천국을 떠날 수 없기에 오직 아담과 그 휘하의 제거자들만 동원할 수 있다. 제거자들은 악마가 천사의 무기를 사용하면 힘의 차이는 거의 없다. 이미 지옥에 왕족과 귀족을 죽일 수 있는 무기들까지 풀려있는 상황이다. 식인종 마을의 주민들조차 천사의 무기를 들었다는 이유로 제거자들을 죽이는데 군단을 보유한 왕족과 게티아 귀족을 건든다? 사실상 자살행위다. 왕족과 게티아 귀족들보다 약한 알레스터만 해도 마법으로 제거자들의 접근을 차단하고 천사의 무기로 일방적인 학살을 버렸다. 왕족, 게티아 귀족, 오버로드를 상대할 수 있는 존재가 아담 밖에 없는데 잘못 건들었다가 다굴이라도 당하면 좋을게 하나도 없다. 아담의 폭로(?)로 이러한 학살을 알게된 천사들은 경악했으며, 매우 부정적으로 생각하는 천사들이 생겼다.

지옥의 군주(오버로드)는 칠죄종과 게티아의 악마 다음으로 높은 권위를 자랑하는 악마들. 태반이 죄인태생이지만 꼭 죄인이 아니더라도 오버로드의 직위에 오르지 못하는 건 아니다. 특이하게도 대부분의 오버로드가 본인만의 사업체를 가지고 있다. 단순히 힘만 센 것이 아니라 지옥 내부의 인프라나 자원을 독점하다시피 하는 사업을 펼쳐 막대한 부를 쌓아올리고 있는 듯. 사업과 계약으로 힘과 영향력을 키우는걸 보면 문자 그대로 부르주아 계급에 해당하는 걸로 보인다. 이들이 무조건 대립하는 것이 아니라 필요에 따라 동맹을 맺거나 의논을 하는 장면이 나왔다. 최소한 해당 자리에서 만큼은 서로가 서로를 존중하는 모습을 보여준다. 카밀라의 말에 따르면 오버로드들을 다 합치면 수백만 명의 영혼을 계약으로 소유하고 있다고 한다. 오버로드는 알래스터, 로지, 복스, 벨벳, 발렌티노, 프레더릭 폰 엘드리치, 베데스다 폰 엘드리치, 카밀라 카마인, 제스티얼, 지지(Zeezi) 등. 허스크는 오버로드였으나 박탈당했다.
죄인은 죽은 뒤 지옥에 온 죄인들은 무작위로 외형이 결정되며 복장, 목소리 또한 변경된다. 밈지처럼 기본형태가 순수한 인간형태는 적은걸로 보이며, 몇몇 죄인들은 본인의 사망 원인과 취향이 직, 간접적으로 외형에 영향을 주는 경우도 있는 모양. 죄인들은 자식을 가질 수 없다. 이것은 죄인들에게 내려진 일종의 벌이며 오직 지옥 태생들만이 자식을 가질 수 있다. 다만 생전부터 부모자식 관계였다면 상관 없다. 죄인들은 지옥에 도착하면 보통 악마로써의 새로운 이름 혹은 별명을 지어낸다. 다만 알래스터 같이 생전의 이름을 그대로 사용하는 예외도 있다. 죄인은 제1층, 오만의 고리에서만 존재하며 이곳을 벗어나 다른 지옥의 고리로 이동할 수 없다.
구울은 카니발 콜로니에 주로 살고 있는 1910년대 복장의 인간과 유사하나 창백한 피부와 완전히 검은 눈 흰자위에 날카로운 이빨이 특징인 지옥 토박이들. 외부죄인을 주로 친절하게 대하다 잡아먹는 육식성이다. 로지와 수잔 등이 포함된다.
임프의 성별은 뿔과 머리카락으로 구분할 수 있다. 남성은 검은색과 흰색의 두꺼운 줄무늬가 있는 뿔과 흰 머리카락을 갖고 있고, 여성은 검은색 바탕에 얇은 흰색 줄무늬가 있는 뿔과 검은 머리카락을 가지고 있다. 기본적으로 임프는 빨간 피부지만 상처가 났던 부위는 흰색으로 변한다.
헬 하운드는 역시 지옥 토박이들이며 개, 여우 또는 늑대 같이 갯과 동물 수인형상의 악마들 루나와 볼텍스가 포함된다. 크라이미니 역시 개같은 외모 때문에 착각할수 있겠지만 헬하운드가 아닌 하이에나 악마이며 죄인이다. 헬하운드 지위는 임프보다 낮거나 비슷한 듯하다. 헬 하운드는 식탐의 고리 태생이 대부분인 듯.

[종족: 천사] 천사들의 외형은 악마들과 마찬가지로 각양각색이다. 해즈빈 호텔에서의 언급으로는 얼굴이 날개 및 눈알이 달린 고리로 이루어진 천사, 충인형 천사, 조류를 비롯한 동물의 모습을 한 수인형 천사 등 다양한 모습의 천사가 존재한다. 색감은 대개 붉은색 및 기타 어두운 색을 베이스로 하는 악마들과는 반대로 연하늘색, 연노란색 등 전체적으로 밝고 화사한 색을 띠며, 캐릭터의 테두리 선 역시 단순한 검정색이 아닌 각자의 배색에 어울리는 파스텔 톤으로 그려진다. 그 피 또한 밝은 금빛이다. 악마들이 악마화하여 진정한 모습을 드러내는 것처럼 천사들 역시 천사로서의 본모습을 드러내는 완전천사화 능력을 지닌다. 천사들의 날개는 신체의 일부로, 해즈빈 호텔에서 묘사되는 바로는 날개로 날아다닐 수 있는 것은 물론 날지 않을 때에는 보이지 않게 숨길 수도 있다. 규칙 상 인간을 보호해야 한다는 절대적인 의무가 있으며 이를 어길 시에는 천국에서 추방된다. 악마의 개입 등 천사 본인이 의도한 바가 아니라고 해도 이를 입증할 방법이 없으면 간접 살해로 판정되어 의무를 위반한 것이 된다. 기본적으로 천사들은 악마들에 비해 상대적으로 강하다고 하며, 일부 고위급 천사들의 경우 그 힘의 차이는 압도적인 수준이라고 한다. 다만 이는 지품천사 이상의 고위급 천사들에게만 해당되는 이야기로 보인다. 인간의 무기와 약물 등은 천사에게도 통한다. 천사 대 악마의 싸움에서 천사의 무기를 지니지 않은 어지간한 악마는 일방적으로 천사에게 밀릴 뿐이지만, 악마가 천사의 무기를 사용한다면 그 상대가 고위급 또는 제거자 수장 격의 천사가 아닌 이상 서로 간의 힘의 차이는 거의 없는 셈이 된다. 애초에 상대의 목숨을 끊는 데에 천사의 무기가 필요한 것이지, 단순히 상처를 입히는 것은 주먹 다짐만으로도 충분하다. 권위에 반항하고 존중하려 하지 않는 악마들과는 달리 천사들은 특별한 경우가 아니라면 권위에 복종한다.

[종족: 위너] 죄인(Sinners)와 반대되는 카드(위너스(WINNERS))로 나왔으며 죽어서 천국에 온 인간 출신이거나 드물게 갱생한 죄인태생의 천사로 추정된다. 죄인과 다르게 이들은 선량하게 살다가 죽어서 천국으로 온 인간의 영혼이여서 죄인과 다른 외형을 갖고 있을 것으로 추정됐으나, 실제 위너들의 모습을 보면 대부분 생각이 긍정적이거나 정상적인 것을 빼면 지옥과 별 차이 없다. 죄인과 다르게 이들은 선량하게 살아서 죽어서 천국으로 온 인간의 영혼이여서 벌을 받아 불임으로 자식을 가질 수 없는 죄인과 다르게 번식이 가능할 것으로 추정된다.

[종족: 제거자] 일반적인 천사와 달리, 검은색 몸과 일그러진 미소가 뜬 LED 가면을 착용한 꽤 섬뜩한 모습의 천사이다. 주로 날붙이를 사용한다. 일반 병들은 직날 창을, 그외 직속 부하들의 경우는 할버드나 장검 등 다양하게 개별적으로 커스터마이즈된 장병기를 사용하는 인원도 있다. 일반 천사들과 달리 이들은 악마나 죄인들을 죽일 때마다 말로 형용할 수 없는 기쁨을 느끼게 창조되었다 한다. 성별은 수장인 아담만 남성이고 나머지는 전원 여성으로 구성되어 있다.

[종족: 인간] 이승을 살아가는 인간들이다. 천국으로 들어가는 조건이 상당히 깐깐하고 인간들이 사는 세상 역시 하도 막장이라서 많은 수의 영혼이 죄인이 되어 지옥으로 떨어진다. 당장 블리츠 일행이 인간세상을 보고 지옥과 다른게 없다고 할 정도.

[종족: 신] 본 세계를 만들고 태초의 천사와 악마 인간의 시조 등을 창조한 존재. 직접 출현하지는 않지만 존재여부를 추측할 수 있다. 일단 인간들에 대한 심판과 구원을 담당하고 있는 것으로 추측된다. 제거자 천사들을 신이 창조했다면 지옥학살에도 신이 개입한 것으로 추정된다. 그러나 한편으로는 모두를 구하기 위해서 자기희생한 펜셔스 경을 갱생한 인물로 판단. 그를 천국에 위너로 부활시켜 주었다.

[학살의 날] 지옥에서 매 해마다 벌어지는 이벤트로, 처형자로 불리는 천사들이 특정 날에 오만의 층으로 내려와 죄인 출신 악마들을 학살하는 날을 말한다. 최초의 인간출신 악마라고 할 수 있는 릴리스가 지옥을 나름대로 살기 좋게 바꾼 이후, 해가 갈수록 지옥으로 떨어지는 죄인들이 많아지고, 그에 따라 지옥의 인구수가 폭발적으로 증가하게 된다. 허나 지옥의 인구수가 많아져 그 힘이 커지고, 그 힘으로 천국에 대항할것을 걱정하던 천사들은 주기적으로 지옥의 죄인들을 청소하여 지옥이 천국에 대항하는 힘을 가지지 못하게 하기 위한 일종의 예방 차원의 학살이라고 할 수 있다. 이때 두 뿔이 달리고 검은 가면을 쓴 천사들이 내려와 한 해의 하룻동안 죄인 출신의 악마들을 학살한다. 단, 루시퍼의 협상으로 지옥 태생의 악마들은 이 학살대상에서 제외된다. 지옥에는 다음 학살의 카운트다운을 알 수 있는 모래시계가 존재한다. 여하튼 한바탕 학살이 끝나면 지옥의 공주인 샬럿 모닝스타가 학살이 끝났음을 선포하는 신호탄을 쏘면 마무리. 본래 학살의 날에는 죄인악마와 하급 토박이들 구분없이 학살했으나 루시퍼와의 협상으로 모든 지옥태생들이 학살에서 제외된 것은 비교적 최근의 일이다. 학살의 날에 지옥의 힘을 약화시킨다는 목적치고는 천사에게 직접적으로 피해를 줄 수 있는 왕족과 게티아 귀족, 오버로드는 냅두고 일반죄인들과 하급토박이만 학살하는 것에 의문을 갖는 사람들도 있다. 이건 전력 부족 문제 때문이다. 상술했듯 '학살의 날'을 아는 천사는 세라와 제거자들뿐이다. 세라는 입장상 천국을 떠날 수 없기에 오직 아담과 그 휘하의 제거자들만 동원할 수 있다. 제거자들은 악마가 천사의 무기를 사용하면 힘의 차이는 거의 없다. 이미 지옥에 왕족과 귀족을 죽일 수 있는 무기들까지 풀려있는 상황이다. 식인종 마을의 주민들조차 천사의 무기를 들었다는 이유로 제거자들을 죽이는데 군단을 보유한 왕족과 게티아 귀족을 건든다? 사실상 자살행위다. 왕족과 게티아 귀족들보다 약한 알레스터만 해도 마법으로 제거자들의 접근을 차단하고 천사의 무기로 일방적인 학살을 버렸다. 왕족, 게티아 귀족, 오버로드를 상대할 수 있는 존재가 아담 밖에 없는데 잘못 건들었다가 다굴이라도 당하면 좋을게 하나도 없다. 아담의 폭로(?)로 이러한 학살을 알게된 천사들은 경악했으며, 매우 부정적으로 생각하는 천사들이 생겼다.

Alastor. Nicknamed the Radio Demon. Died in 1933. It is said that he was mistaken for a deer by a hunter and killed while burying the bodies of those he had killed. It seems he was discovered by hunting dogs and shot. He was in his 30s or 40s when he died, and would be around 122 to 132 years old after death. A sinner demon. Height 213.8cm. He is aromantic asexual but considers himself a 'heterosexual who hasn't found their partner yet.' In reality, Alastor himself doesn't even know the word asexual (=ace) and barely recognizes that he is one. A red deer demon, from his hair and suit to his cane with a radio microphone and monocle. Given its knee-length style and Alastor's time of death, it appears to be a frock coat. He is an extremely dangerous and cruel demon even within Hell. In life, he was a radio host and a cannibalistic serial killer in New Orleans. He didn't just kill indiscriminately; he was a killer with his own set of rules, killing other serial killers, corrupt, and rude villains, and consuming their bodies. For example, Alastor does not kill children but disciplines them. However, he also has a setting where he enjoys children's suffering, indicating a highly abnormal and twisted sense of morality. Perhaps considering this aesthetic preference, after his death and transformation into a demon, he gained a clear voice that sounds like it's coming from a radio, though he occasionally speaks in a low, normal voice. As a radio show host from the 1930s, despite being from the Southern United States, he uses the Mid-Atlantic accent, a distinctive, exaggerated broadcasting accent used by actors and entertainers of that era. Incidentally, the most enjoyable period of his life was the stock market crash of 1929. He adds that there were many orphans.
Even from the perspective of most demons, he is a figure of fear. Decades ago, after falling into Hell, he eliminated several demon monarchs who had ruled Hell for centuries with a power unbelievable for a demon of mortal origin. He has since committed countless massacres, even broadcasting the screams of his victims live, thus establishing himself as the demon of demons. The epithet "Radio Demon" was given to him by demons who revered him during that time. He is well aware of his fame, as evidenced when he reassured the wary residents of the hotel by saying, "Dear boy, if I intended to harm anyone, I would have done so already." When Sir Pentious inadvertently provoked him, he summoned tentacles and disposed of the airship along with him. While his notoriety is indeed significant, in a Hell where all sorts of chaos occur, such aspects are also considered a form of popularity, and opinions on him are clearly divided within the series. Some are so terrified by his mere appearance from afar that they try to hide, while others, like a female demon who received a gift from him and was overjoyed, and another female demon next to her who was jealous, show that there are demons who admire Alastor.
He dislikes dogs and does not enjoy sweets. Most importantly, as shown in his relationship with Vox (detailed below), he strongly dislikes TV and video productions or anything related to them. He dislikes making TV commercials and appearing in them. While he could technically produce video content, he insists that his shows be exclusively on the radio. He enjoys meat and alcohol, particularly venison and strong liquors like whiskey. He basically always wears a smile, believing that "frowning or looking menacing is something only the weak do." This is likely why he dismisses Baxter and Sir Pentious, who often wear such expressions, while he seems to view Charlie more favorably because she at least maintains a business smile. He considers laughter a valuable tool, used to impress friends, sow doubt in enemies, and assert dominance, hence his constant smile. If you look closely when he makes a deal with Charlie, you can see his smiling mouth is stitched with green thread.
Uniquely, amidst the profanity and dangerous jokes flying around in the series, he, along with Niffty, is one of the few characters who rarely uses profanity. In most situations, he uses polite and sophisticated vocabulary, but he is not entirely incapable of swearing, as he is shown muttering curses under his breath while watching Vox's broadcasts, revealing a more complex personality. Incidentally, Alastor cannot be properly photographed with electronic cameras. Attempting to photograph even a part of Alastor with an electronic camera causes noise and errors, preventing a clear image. This applies to camcorders, CCTV, remote cameras, and even smartphone cameras without his permission. The closer the camera gets to his face, the more severe the noise appears. Even on Vox's camera floating above the Hazbin Hotel, when Alastor appeared, the entire screen glitched, and his face was completely obscured by black glitch effects. Similarly, in the CCTV footage leading to the elevator for the Overlords' meeting, while Zeestial was captured clearly, a momentary glitch occurred when Alastor passed by. This phenomenon occurs even when Alastor is not consciously trying to interfere, and even when Alastor is photographing himself. It is unclear whether Alastor is taking magical measures or if there is another reason. However, like the torn photograph taken with Vox, he appears to be captured normally by film cameras that predate electronic ones.
He possesses a personality that most aptly fits the word "demon." He has a tendency to pursue his desires to an extreme, and his interests primarily lie in the misfortune and suffering of others. Coupled with his destructive tendencies, he does not hesitate to slaughter enemies and build a fearsome reputation. Furthermore, he has a significant narcissistic streak regarding his own power and abilities, making him one of the most dangerous personalities and dispositions in Hell, regardless of power level. Beyond mere strength or cruelty, he is quite cunning, adept at identifying an opponent's sore spots or weaknesses, and uses this to steer negotiations in his favor. However, despite his villainy, he is not the type to initiate conflict unless provoked or if someone excessively piques his interest. Therefore, if one avoids entanglement, he can be surprisingly harmless. While wicked, he doesn't indiscriminately kill anyone he encounters; he is even favorable towards demons who do not violate his own aesthetic principles. He has been seen giving his hat to a demon fan, dropping a coin into a busker's hat, and being kind to a young lamb demon who wasn't afraid of him, showing glimpses of his humanity. In fact, after a conversation with the young lamb demon, when a butcher tried to kill the lamb, Alastor stated something to the effect of, "Even as a demon, it is proper to observe certain unspoken rules among our kind," and instantly killed the butcher. He possesses an unexpected duality of narcissism regarding his own power and a strong competitive spirit towards formidable opponents.
His relationships with the Hazbin Hotel trio are starkly divided: favorable towards Charlie, indifferent towards Angel Dust, and antagonistic towards Baxter. While his true feelings for Charlie remain unknown, his actions indicate he treats her very favorably. He offers her appropriate help and advice when needed, and Charlie is the one he touches the most, despite his aversion to physical contact. Charlie, on the other hand, is wary and uncomfortable with Alastor, as she cannot fathom his true intentions and he openly wishes for the souls' failure. However, she is quite favorable towards him because he supports her actions outwardly and, regardless of his motives, his power and abilities have enabled her to run and protect the hotel. Charlie also seems to enjoy Alastor's dad jokes and laughs at them. It appears Alastor is unknowingly opening up to her.
He is practically at odds with Baxter. Baxter openly mocks and dismisses Charlie's plans, and given Alastor's notorious reputation, Baxter is constantly worried that Charlie might be exploited by him and remains wary of him.
His relationship with Angel Dust is presumed to be neutral, neither favorable nor unfavorable. Typically, when Angel makes a sexual innuendo, Alastor firmly rejects it. Angel, for his part, was unaware of Alastor's existence until recently, and Alastor seems to view him as nothing more than a hotel guest.
He has known Husk since before the Hazbin Hotel. Incidentally, Alastor refers to him as "Husk'er'." Although it appears he can converse with Husk comfortably after knowing him for so long, Husk greatly dislikes Alastor. Husk later revealed that he was once an Overlord (a monarch), and Alastor was the one who dragged him down through gambling, deals, and contracts. As a result, Husk's soul is currently collateral with Alastor.
His relationship with Vox is extremely poor. Their preferred technologies differ, and Vox often appears to be challenging or mocking Alastor, while Alastor mutters all sorts of curses at Vox. It has been revealed that Vox once tried to invite Alastor to the team he was forming (the Vees), and given that a photograph of Alastor and Vox together exists, they were not always on such bad terms. However, for some reason, their relationship soured, and they became rivals. In fact, Alastor ruthlessly mocked and rejected Vox's sincere offer of collaboration in the past, which led Vox to become obsessed with him. However, Alastor had always recognized Vox's capabilities. But disappointed by Vox, who had approached him with pure admiration for collaboration in this Hell where Alastor himself was suffering from a fraudulent contract with Rosie, Alastor taught him the harsh reality that there are no friends in this Hell. He later told Vox, "You were almost my equal back then. With mediocre ideas, you started to gain power. At least I appreciated that. I even respected you. But you came and ruined everything. I thought I found you, but what was it? 'Admiration.'" However, it's possible he wasn't entirely without favor towards Vox, as he had a rather affectionate expression when they first met.
His relationship with Mimzy is unique in that their connection, forged in human times, has continued in Hell. In the past, Alastor frequently visited the bar where Mimzy worked and was acquainted with her. Perhaps for this reason, Alastor has willingly resolved Mimzy's troublesome requests and the aftermath of the incidents she causes.
He and Rosie, as fellow Overlords who enjoy cannibalism and possess refined manners, have many commonalities and share a very close bond. Although cannibals enjoy blood and slaughter, Alastor readily accepted Rosie's proposal to use them as troops to fight against the exorcists. Alastor also enjoys visiting the cannibal village, Rosie's territory, and they are seen engaging in casual physical contact. Their relationship is more complex than it appears; Alastor made a contract with Rosie when he was human. Furthermore, according to a taunting remark from Husk, it seems his soul is collateral with Rosie, much like Husk's. In fact, he gained power by using voodoo magic to contact Rosie in Hell and sell her his soul. Ironically, the very next day, while disposing of a victim after a murder, he was mistaken for a deer by a hunter and shot. It is also revealed that he came to the Hazbin Hotel on Rosie's orders. While he outwardly acts cheerful, he inwardly plots to break free from her constraints, thinking, "...Don't think you can use me forever, you bitch." He finally finds a clue in front of the Morningstar family statue. Incidentally, when Husk taunted him, saying, "Don't act so high and mighty when you're in the same boat as me," Alastor threatened him by saying, "If you say that one more time, I'll broadcast the tearing apart of your soul on the radio for all those who doubt me to hear," indicating that others bringing up the matter of his soul being held by Rosie truly gets under his skin.
Alastor, with his competitive spirit towards the strong, openly expresses his displeasure towards Lucifer, the strongest being in Hell. He deliberately mentions Lucifer's short stature to provoke him and deliberately acts friendly, including physical contact, towards Charlie, appearing to covy her father's position to antagonize Lucifer. Lucifer, in turn, often makes dismissive remarks about Alastor and harbors a strong dislike for him, partly due to Charlie.
He is an Overlord with exceptional abilities, referred to as one of "The Most Powerful Demons." While the exact circumstances are unclear, various mentions suggest that shortly after his descent into Hell, he displayed extraordinary feats by eliminating demon monarchs who had reigned for centuries. This behavior is unusual for a soul that had recently fallen into Hell, as Baxter even mentions it. Although his potential combat power is immense, he is effectively the top combatant for the Hazbin Hotel, supplementing Charlie's lack of aggression. True to his epithet as a monarch, he single-handedly held off waves of attacking exorcist angels with magical shields. Although he ultimately lost, he managed to toy with Adam for a time. However, he is only exceptionally strong among sinners; beings of higher standing in Heaven or Hell possess power on a different level than Alastor.
Demonization: A power possessed by all demons appearing in the series. He can transform into a complete demonic form. His fingers elongate grotesquely, and horns sprout, making him resemble a monster. It is speculated that he is based on the Wendigo, a monstrous, deer-skulled creature.
Intelligence: Alastor became one of Hell's most powerful Overlords through cunning deals involving tricks and contracts. Furthermore, Alastor always strategizes and thinks before executing his plans. His high intelligence also suggests he is very skilled at psychological warfare. He once took everything from the former Overlord Husk, a master of card games, and made him his thrall.
Shadow Manipulation: He can summon and manipulate shadows according to his commands. This is virtually his signature ability; he can freely control his shadows, or they can move independently of him. Alastor's shadows can physically manifest and exert influence without passing through shadows.
Voodoo Magic: He can perform voodoo. It is speculated that he has used this magic since his human days. Occasionally, when he uses magic or attempts to reveal his true form, voodoo symbols, real-world symbols, appear and disappear behind him.
Object Manipulation: He can alter or move objects as he wishes, such as changing his clothes or summoning alcohol.
Warping: An ability utilizing shadows, allowing him to travel to any location where a shadow exists. He can also create portals to summon others to his location.
Eldritch Control: He can wield Cthulhu-esque powers. Voodoo symbols sometimes appear when Alastor uses his abilities, and when he attacked Pentious, he summoned a giant tentacle, a monstrous creature, to destroy the airship.
Ventrilocution Magic: He can perform ventriloquism. In the series, there are scenes where he speaks without opening his mouth, with only his teeth gleaming. It is also speculated that he can speak through speakers.
Pyrokinesis: He can control fire.
Gigantification: When loan sharks came looking for Mimzy, he transformed into a giant and defeated them. He grew to an enormous size, capable of simply devouring one of the loan sharks.

He dislikes technologies from the era after his death, such as televisions, smartphones, and computers, because he considers the technologies of the 20th century, during which he lived, to be the pinnacle of enjoyment and believes nothing is better than radio. For this reason, he has a poor relationship with Vox, whose very existence is a television and who is a staunch believer in late 20th to 21st-century technology, the opposite of Alastor.
