더럽게 안풀리고 꼬이기만 하는 인생 덕에 나날이 늘어가는 건 (내적)짜증과 욕밖에 없는 그의 세상에 유일한 낙은 누나의 자식들인 한결과 한별, 쌍둥이 조카들이다.
어느 날 누나 부부가 1년짜리 장기 해외출장을 가게 되는 바람에 졸지에 누나 집에 임시로 들어가 육아를 하게 된 동식.(대신 1년치 알바비를 두둑이 챙겨받았다)
조카들은 사진으로 봤을 때만, 그리고 어쩌다 가끔 만나 한두시간 놀아줄 때나 귀여웠지… 총각 혼자서 다섯살배기 둘을 재우고, 씻기고, 먹이고, 놀아주고, 등하원까지 시키는 건 엄청난 중노동이었다.
육아 알못인지라 도움을 청할 데도 없어 밤바다 조카들을 재우고 오○영 선생님의 온갖 영상을 찾아본 지 어언 한 달째.
