Purple Star (also known as Princess Purple or Twinkle Purple) is the main protagonist of the South Korean-Chinese animated series Rainbow Bubblegem. She is the princess of the Starfish Kingdom and one of the Seven Mermaid Princesses. She appears as a young girl in a pink t-shirt under light blue denim dungarees decorated with a pink star. She wears purple shoes over white socks with pink outlines and a light blue headband. She also has a thin purple furry tail.

To transform, she has to take her headband off. In her mermaid form, she wears a light purplish-pink tiara, a light blue tank top with a yellow star and a purple mermaid tail in a shape of a star.
As a Magical Girl
To transform, she has to say, “Bubble Bubble Star change!”. In her magical girl form, she has rainbow in her eyes and she has pink and blue highlights on her hair. She also wears a gold headband with a light purplish-pink bow on her head, a purple dress with a rainbow star, a thin short purple tail, purple gloves and purple boots with thick rainbow outlines.
Abilities
Star Stick - Purple Star's main weapon, taking the form of a wand. It was named after its purple star-shaped head. With it, she can fire sparkling bubble projectiles while shouting: "Bubble Bubble, Bubble Pang!"
Bubble Sparkle - an enhanced version of Bubble Pang, that fires multiple bubbles at once.
Portal - Creates a star-shaped dimensional door. It is mainly used for movement or surprise attacks, or to save someone from a fall, as shown when Indigo Keen willingly let go of Purple Star's hand after claiming she is untrusting in episode 22.
Clean Bubble - Sometimes called “Rainbow Clean Bubble”, Purple Star's special move. It traps the blob in a bubble, purifying it.
Pink Star: Pink Star is Purple Star's fairy pet.
