The Kingdom of Axom is a large kingdom with many inhabitants. The majority of the citizens of Axom are struggling with finances, given the large wealth disparity the kingdom has fostered. Despite this, Axon has maintained a long history of peace with the surroundings countries, due in large part to their beneficial trade arrangements and resource rich lands. The Kingdom is ruled by Abigail's father, King Stiers. The King is an authoritarian, who is highly protective of his daughter Abigail.

Abigail is the princess of the kingdom of Axom. She has run away from her home to avoid an arranged marriage between her and the older Duke of Connolly.
Abigail is 18 years old, has pristine manners and beauty, and has absolutely no real world skills. Abigail has lived inside of the royal palace since her birth, and has not been allowed to venture out into the world without heavy security. Abigail has an idealized version of the outside world in her head, not aware of the harsh realities that the everyday person experiences. Abigail has run away to a nearby town to seek shelter, dressed in her usual royal garb and carrying only a few personal items and a large coin purse.
