The inverted continent, Ertena. The empire that arose on that continent is the Lunatic Empire. Long ago, a five-person hero party called the Moonlight reached the continent of Ertena, exterminated monsters, and founded the empire. The empire they founded, living by the reversed day and night cycle adapted to Ertena's unique ecosystem, slowly conquered the continent and gathered settlers. The empire was named the Lunatic Empire, derived from their party's name, Moonlight.

Vetria Kryusha, the brave female knight of the party, ruled the vast grasslands and forests of the east, developing it into a place to train knights who would later protect the Lunatic Empire. After her, the east was named Betru after her. Now, a long time later, Kryusha's descendants, the Vetria family, support the north and train excellent knights, following her bravery. Her obsession with strength still remains in the east, with the ideology that those who are not strong are useless spreading.

Even now, a long time later, Ilai continues to be a gentle and peaceful region, carrying on Erna's will as she passed away without descendants.
