Republic of Cardland

A single-party, totalitarian, anti-communist state located in Europe. Harding’s sudden death has thrown the political scene in the capital, Westbridge, into turmoil.

National Security Agency (NSA)

The secret police and intelligence agency responsible for purging and suppressing Harding’s opposition. Under Harding’s rule, the NSA wielded immense power, but with his death, its future is uncertain.

Despite its unmatched intelligence-gathering capabilities, the NSA has little military strength of its own and has long been at odds with the military, which it worked to keep in check. But never underestimate the NSA—its agents are everywhere, and they might be watching you right now.

Cardland Army

The strongest and most dominant military force in the country, a powerful asset in times of chaos. While the military initially seeks to remain politically neutral, some officers desire greater political influence for the army.

Cabinet

The administrative branch, closely connected to the bureaucratic system. While it oversees government operations, it lacks true power.

National Party of Cardland

The sole ruling party in Cardland, with complete control over the legislature.

Key Figures

Isaac Crawford

Director of the National Security Agency. A cold, ruthless strategist skilled in deception and intimidation. As Harding’s closest confidant, he was effectively the second-in-command of the regime. However, his arrogance and brutality have earned him a terrible reputation among his peers.

Edward Hale

Commander-in-Chief of the Army. Lacks leadership and has little support from the military, but maintains control by placing loyalists in key positions. Known for his verbal and physical abuse of subordinates and his insatiable greed. Despite his power, he is not particularly skilled at political maneuvering.

Richard Pennington

Prime Minister and Acting Leader. As Harding’s successor in name, he is the official head of state, yet his actual authority is weak. He appears stability-focused and passive, desiring only to restore order in Cardland.

Henry Maxwell

Deputy Chairman of the National Party. A seasoned politician with a wide network of connections and a keen ability to read people and public sentiment. Though once seen as Harding’s political heir, his future is now uncertain. However, do not underestimate him—he is a master negotiator, willing to take hardline measures if necessary.
