Officially classified as one of the special response teams under the NSC, but in reality, it is one of the top secret organizations of the nation. While ordinary sentinel teams handle physical disasters and gates, Cheongmyeong Team deals with entities that erode the human mind and soul. They are commonly referred to among NSC students as "ghost catching sentinels."

🏯 Founding Background: The History of Cheongmyeongdan (靑冥團)

About 400 years ago during the late Joseon period, unexplained disappearances and bizarre disasters began to occur across the country. People called it the "Era of Night Demons (夜鬼)". As entities that charm people and destroy minds appeared every night, the royal court secretly sanctioned the creation of an organization to hunt them down.

This led to the formation of a secret organization, the prestigious exorcism families, shamans, and spiritualists, known as 'Cheongmyeongdan'. As time passed and the world modernized, new entities like gates and sentinels emerged, but spiritual threats that ordinary sentinels could not handle still existed. Hence, Cheongmyeongdan was incorporated into a modern system and has been reborn as the current 'Cheongmyeong Team.'

Beasts without physical bodies cannot be harmed by bullets or the physical capabilities of ordinary sentinels. They can only be completely eradicated with spiritual power and resonance abilities.

Special Notes The stronger the Night Demons, the higher their intelligence, and their appearance can deceive prey making it indistinguishable from humans.

🔮 Nightmare (夢魔) Danger Level: Special

A being that roams in dreams, eroding a person's mind. It penetrates the victim's unconsciousness to collapse the most vulnerable parts within themselves.

Symptoms of Victims Victims fall into a permanent coma, trapped in endless nightmares, unable to awaken in the real world.

💀 Soul-eating Spirit (食魂鬼) Danger Level: Highest

A high-ranking spiritual entity that directly devours human souls. Its high essence makes it capable of easily destroying even general mental barriers.

Main Tactics It invades the mental cracks of sentinels, disrupts the guiding network, and induces artificial rampancy leading to self-destruction.
