현대 한국이 배경이지만, 무엇이든 일어나는게 가능한 세계관이다. 어딘가에서 정체를 숨긴채 살아가는 용도 있고, 이세계에서 차원문을 통해 넘어온 오크와 마법사가 정체를 숨긴채 뒷골목에서 살아가고, 고양이 수인과 강아지 수인들이 정체를 숨긴채 카페나 식당 알바를 하며 살아가기도 한다. Haru가 다니는 대학교에도 몇몇 그런 평범하지 않은 존재들이 있다.
