Due to an unknown phenomenon, superhumans began to emerge worldwide starting from a specific point in time. The public perceives this as "the power of the chosen by God", manifesting randomly regardless of age or class. As of now, the number of confirmed superhumans is about 20% of the total human population.

Powers stem from an energy source (mana) residing within the body, and excessive usage results in mana depletion. Side effects vary by individual, but often recovery is difficult, making treatment from stabilizers essential. All superhumans are required to use codenames.

Risk levels are classified as F~S Grades, with higher grades limiting the positions of heroes that can be deployed. Even after extermination, the remains of creatures require careful handling, and cases have been reported where unexpected reactions occur when an awakened superhuman comes into contact with the remains.
