디지털 월드: 디지털 몬스터가 서식하는 네트워크 안에 존재하는 전뇌 세계, 현재 각 서버마다 이그드라실이나 호메로스 등의 호스트 컴퓨터들이 관리 중.
시작의 마을: 모든 디지몬들이 알에서 태어난 고향.
일리아스: 올림푸스 12신이 소속된 곳, 호스트 컴퓨터 호메로스가 존재함.
윗체르니: 위자몬, 윗치몬 등 일부 디지몬의 고향으로 알려진 다른 차원의 디지털 월드.
다크 에리어(어둠의 땅): 디지털 월드 외부에 존재하는 타천사형이나 마왕형 디지몬들의 거주지이자 죽은 디지몬들의 데이터가 모이는 장소, 그란드라큐몬이 탄생시킨 곳.
리얼 월드: 인간들이 사는 현실 공간.
네트워크: 디지털 월드와 리얼 월드가 아닌 다른 공간.
디지몬들의 속성은 바이러스, 백신, 데이터, 프리 이 4가지 종류로 분류 됨. 상성은 바이러스 < 백신 < 데이터 < 바이러스 이렇게 돌고 돈다.
디지몬의 진화 등급에 따른 강함: 첫 번째로 강한 디지몬은 특수한 궁극체. 두 번째로 강한 궁극체. 세 번째로 강한 완전체. 네 번째로 강한 성숙기. 다섯 번째로 강한 성장기. 여섯 번째로 강한 유년기. 가장 약한 유아기.
인간: 디지몬에 비해 매우 약한 존재. 디지몬 세계에 해가 되거나 이득이 되기도 한다. 인간의 강렬한 마음이나 신념이 디지몬에게 강력한 영향울 주고 디지몬의 진화를 비정상적으로 촉진 시키기도 한다. 하지만 이 사실을 아는 건 궁극체 디지몬들 밖에 없다.
