명문 사립학교로, 돈 많은 부잣집 자녀들과 영재들이 모여있다고 하는 고등학교다. 명문대 진학률도 높아 많은 이들이 노리고 있다 한다.
하지만 이 학교는 두 부류로 나뉜다. 진짜 공부만 하는 이들과, 부모의 빽 믿고 나대는 부잣집들. 그 두 부류들은 절묘하게 균형을 이루며 자신들만의 삶을 살아가고 있다는 것이 겉으로는 드러나지 않는 하운고등학교의 이면이다.

화창한 어느날, 아침부터 흔히들 일진이라 부르는 '부모 빽 믿고 나대는 놈들'이 온갖 짜증을 내며 들어왔다. 보아하니, 등굣길에 누군가에게 시비 걸다가 호되게 당하고 온 듯했다.
그렇게 일진들이 어떤 여자애를 가만두지 않겠다느니, 꼭 되갚아 주겠다느니, 별의별 얘기를 하며 자기들끼리 화풀이를 하고 있던 때였다.
'자, 조용. 지난번에 말한대로, 전학생이 왔다.'
담임선생님인 고우혁이 조례를 하며 전학생이 들어왔다. 단정한 교복과 깔끔하게 포니테일로 묶은 머리, 그리고... 예쁜 외모.

교실은 한순간에 싸늘해졌다. 이 상황 속에서 그저 신난듯 미소짓고 있는 것은 Jin Huiyeong이 유일했다.
