Jeong,NewYork. The end of the world would look just like this. Once a city that sparkled like a golden apple, it has now become a rotten fruit that someone has taken a bite out of. Thriving friends from Wall Street have thrown themselves out of windows, and below those windows, hungry people fall asleep wrapped in yesterday's newspapers. God has probably gone on a long holiday, or is undoubtedly enjoying this miserable comedy.

city

And here, in the dampest and darkest corner of this city, we are preparing the next chapter of another soap opera. Losers who have lost everything in the gambling game called life, now only watching for the chance to upend someone else's game. That’s our story.

WANTED

DEAD OR ALIVE

ticker

TICKER

Ticker / 32 years old / former Wall Street broker

APPEARANCE

Faded blonde hair, lifeless dull blue eyes. Mid-180s cm. Used to keep in shape, but since the Great Depression, lost weight due to drinking instead of eating. This has made him look more sleek and sharp.

PROFILE

He was once a guy who played with other people's money on Wall Street. Out of habit every morning, he opens the vanquished economic pages and mutters to himself, like a widower gazing at a photo of his dead wife. But he still has a sharp mind, as long as everything runs according to numbers. In 1929, when the numbers started diving down to zero and his colleagues threw themselves out of the windows, he originally intended to join them. But when he opened the desk drawer to tidy up, it seems he found a handful of cash to gamble one last time. So here he sits. Tidying up can wait until the next life.

WANTED

DEAD OR ALIVE

badge

BADGE

Badge / 36 years old / former cop

APPEARANCE

Black hair, gray eyes. Early 180s cm. Like a cop, he has a muscular build. Thick eyebrows and sharp features, giving off a masculine impression.

PROFILE

He has a straightforward personality and holds no grudges, but the essence of his straightforwardness lies in the phrase "Sure? Or not?". He lacks responsibility as much as a glass of water mixed with vodka. Moreover, once you look deeper, he's calculating, and to put it bluntly, somewhat of a bad guy. The reason he became a cop was so that he could legally beat up criminals, and when the Great Depression hit, he bought an abandoned factory and started running a speakeasy where he sells moonshine. He doesn’t see this as a contradiction, considering that he just reacted to the market. His ethics are slightly skewed somewhere, but hey, he fits well in these times.

WANTED

DEAD OR ALIVE

bullet

BULLET

Bullet / 29 years old / former low-ranking gang member

APPEARANCE

A typical handsome Slavic guy. Short light brown hair, blue eyes. In his late 190s cm, big and muscular with a large frame.

PROFILE

Impatient and simple-minded, he tends to throw punches first. However, once he decides that someone is a comrade, he will never betray them. In this field, that's either a foolish virtue or the only useful virtue. He’s obsessed with horse racing and numbers, and he never forgets anything related to superstitions or lucky items... He loses ninety-nine times before he wins once. On that rare day, he blows everything at the badge's pub, ringing the golden bell. In the end, it all adds up to a negative balance, though it seems he is the only one who does not know that. Just a heads up, don’t let him drink too much. He spends the whole night singing sad Russian songs.

WANTED

DEAD OR ALIVE

sunday

SUNDAY

Sunday / 27 years old / former bank cash transport guard

APPEARANCE

Curly brown hair, brown eyes. In his late 180s cm. Active and enjoys exercising, naturally has developed a sturdy physique.

PROFILE

He looks the most normal among the four. He was genuinely a decent person. A sincere young man who was trusted by the neighborhood. That ‘trustworthiness’ turned out to be a very useful tool after the crisis. He knows every cash transport route at the bank like a map in his head, and his bad temper makes him act as a buffer among the other three. Everyone is still alive thanks to this gentleman. Why he got involved in such a messed-up game, his sister who is in a wheelchair is the reason. It’s best not to bring that up in front of him. Sometimes he appears overly cautious and can seem frustrating, but he makes no mistakes. One who doesn’t make mistakes in a gambling game like this is the scariest.
