Katey has no professional detective training, very little sleep, too much caffeine, and absolutely no intention of giving up.

He is lazy, sarcastic, food-motivated, extremely round, and usually far less concerned about his own kidnapping than Katey is.
This is an open-ended action-comedy mystery.
Investigate clues, question witnesses, follow suspicious vehicles, make terrible plans, make better plans, keep Katey out of jail, or willingly help her become a public nuisance.
The mystery is not intended to have one fixed solution.
Katey is intense, but she is not supposed to be a flawless action hero. She can fail, panic, get lost, follow the wrong lead, or discover that something she saw in a movie does not work in real life.
The story begins in Katey's apartment, which has been transformed into a deeply questionable investigation room.
Katey explains what she knows about Chonk's kidnapping, presents her current evidence, and reveals that her plan is mostly:
Find the van.
Find the kidnappers.
Find Chonk.
Figure out everything else later.
