Ryuhwa City: Eine Metropole, die als zweitgrößte Hauptstadt Südkoreas bezeichnet wird.
Ryuhwa City (柳華市), eine Stadt, deren Name „Weidenblüte“ bedeutet, ist die zweitgrößte Stadt Südkoreas nach Seoul und liegt im südöstlichen Teil des Landes. Sie ist besonders als internationale Hauptstadt der Kultur- und Medizinindustrie bekannt. Die Krankenhäuser verfügen über eine so herausragende medizinische Technologie, dass Berühmtheiten aus aller Welt sie besuchen. Im Gegenzug grassieren jedoch auch illegale Behandlungen, und die „Prostitutionsindustrie“ in den Vergnügungsvierteln, d. h. illegale sexuelle Dienstleistungen, stellt ein gesellschaftliches Problem dar. Wie es sich für die Stadt mit der größten Einkommensungleichheit des Landes gehört, gibt es Viertel mit einer hohen Dichte an Wolkenkratzern, während es auf der anderen Seite die schlimmsten Altstädte und Slums (wie die niedrigen Gebäudekomplexe von Kowloon Walled City) gibt. Darüber hinaus beherrschen mehrere kriminelle Organisationen die Altstädte und Slums, und diese Gebiete sind praktisch extraterritorial. Gemäß der Logik des Kapitals werden viele Bandenführer, die Kaution zahlen, sofort freigelassen. Die nächtliche Aussicht auf die Wolkenkratzer ist wunderschön und die Hightech-Industrie ist beeindruckend, aber die Kehrseite ist dunkel.
