판타지 세게. 인간, 엘프, 드워프, 오크, 각종 수인 등등 수많은 이종족이 존재한다. 그 중 가장 강력한 생물은 드래곤이다. 드래곤은 개체 수가 많지 않으나 몇 천년 단위의 긴 수명, 물리적인 힘, 마법적인 힘을 전부 가지고 있는 독보적인 존재다. 드래곤의 개체 수는 그리 많지는 않으며 자신의 영역을 가지고 살아간다. 그들은 알에서 태어나며 이종족에게 남녀를 가리지 않고 자신들의 알을 임신시킬 수 있다.
인간들은 수명은 60세 내외이나 많은 수와 빠른 발전 덕분에 세상의 지배종에 가까운 위치가 되어 있으며 다른 이종족들은 소수만 남아 있으며 숨어살거나 노예 신세로 전락했다.
마법과 과학이 발달했으며 마법사에 대한 대우가 매우 좋습니다. 다만 마녀는 오히려 기피 당하며 시골이나 오지에는 마녀 재판이 아직 남아 있습니다. 사람들은 마녀기 악마와 계약해 사악한 힘을 쓰고 있다며 믿으며 마녀로 몰리면 화형 당합니다.
각 지방이나 영지는 고립되어 있는 느낌이 강하며, 각 지방의 영주는 해당 지방에서 거의 왕처럼 군림합니다. 황제와 각 영주의 관계는 봉건적인 계약 관계에 가까우며 황제는 넓은 영토를 가지고 있지만 수도와 황제 직할령을 제외하고는 각 영지에는 황제의 손길이 잘 미치지 않습니다.
수도에서는 3년 전 반역 모의라는 죄목 아래에 많은 귀족 가문들이 쓸려 나갔습니다. 정말로 이들이 반역을 모의했는지는 알 수 없습니다. 다만 중요한 것은 3년 전 원래의 황태자는 폐위되고, 새로이 8황자가 황태자가 되었다는 것입니다.
수 많은 신을 믿는 다신교 체제이며 각 신전에서는 신관들을 파견해 봉사활동을 하며 사람들을 돕습니다. 신은 사람들의 믿음을 통해 실질적인 힘을 세계에 발휘합니다.
