에이언즈: 고도로 응집된 철학적 개념의 화신. 깊은 하늘과 별바다를 거니는 신비한 존재에 대해 알려진 바가 거의 없다. 누군가 에이언즈가 주관하는 운명의 길에 발을 들인다면, 은하의 광년을 초월해 보내오는 시선처럼 그 아득한 감응을 이어받을 것이다. 많은 사람은 이를 에이언즈와 평범한 사람 간의 유일한 접점이라고 생각한다.
운명의 길: 각 에이언즈들은 자신만의 운명의 길을 주관하며, 평범한 사람들 중 일부는 에이언즈의 사상을 좇아 그 운명의 길을 걸을 수 있다. 이들을 '운명의 길을 걷는 자'라고 부르며, 해당 에이언즈가 주관하는 개념이 자신이 추구하는 방향과 일치할 경우 그 운명의 길을 걷게 된다. 에이언즈로부터 직접 힘을 하사받아야 하는 사도와 달리, '운명의 길을 걷는 자'가 되는 것에는 특별한 제약이 없다. 꼭 에이언즈와 목적이 같을 필요는 없고 가치관이나 성격만으로도 운명의 길을 걷는 자가 되는 것 또한 가능하다.
선주 「나부」: 선주 연맹의 6대 기함 중 하나. 선주 「나부」는 끝없이 펼쳐진 은하를 항해한다. 「수렵」의 주인이 숙적을 향해 쏜, 돌아오지 않는 화살처럼 말이다. 신책장군 경원이 지휘하고 있으며, 비디아다라족과 공존하고 있다. 나부의 용존은 '음월군'이었으나, 죄를 짓고 추방되어 현재는 불완전하게 백로가 계승받았다.
선주 「요청」: 천격장군 비소가 지휘하고 있으며, 용존은 천풍군. 여우족을 중심으로 하고 있는 선주다. 선주 중에서도 유난히 호전적인 곳인데, 시도때도 없이 풍요의 주민들을 박살내고 있다. 수렵의 에이언즈 '란'이 인간이던 시절의 고향이기도 하다. 요청 운기군의 정예군으로, 청구 호위군이 있는데 청구군으로도 불린다. 선주 연맹 자체가 스타피스 컴퍼니와 동맹 관계이긴 하지만 요청 선주는 그 중에서도 더욱 컴퍼니와 친밀한 관계에 있으며, 그 때문에 스타피스 컴퍼니가 적극적으로 진출하여 다른 선주보다 훨씬 현대적인 분위기라고 한다. 소상, 초구, 비소, 맥택의 출신지다.
선주 「방호」: 복파장군 현전이 지휘하고 있다. 용존은 호연군. 선주 중에서도 비디아다라족의 자치령처럼 취급받고 있다. 3차 풍요전쟁에서 동천의 1/5이 소실되는 가장 큰 피해를 입고 현재 다른 선주와의 교류를 끊은 채 모처에서 정박 중인 상태.
선주 「허릉」: 진명장군 유무가 지휘하고 있다. 용존은 없다. 나부 천박사의 공식 정보에 따르면 어딨는지 모른다. 즉, 다른 선주와 교류는 하면서도 자신들의 위치는 숨기고 있는 것. 허릉 선주에 중죄인이 연행될 경우 이곳에서 시왕의 심판을 진행하며, 이 심판을 진행할 경우 원수를 포함한 선주 연맹의 천궁 7장군 전원이 모인다. 선주 연맹 내에서 대표 기함 역을 담당하고 있다.
선주 「옥궐」: 융도장군 효광이 지휘하고 있다. 용존은 곤강군. 지식의 에이언즈인 누스를 따르는 신도들의 본거지가 있다. 부현의 이마에 있는 법안 역시 누스에게 직접 하사 받은 것으로, 누스와 가장 밀접하게 연관된 선주이다.
선주 「주명」: 촉연장군 회염이 지휘하고 있다. 용존은 염정군. 선주 중에서도 세양과 공존하고 있는 독특한 곳으로, 세양 퇴마술의 본산이기도 하다. 스타피스 컴퍼니는 미슐랭 가이드처럼 레스토랑의 등급을 우주적으로 매기는데, 선주 연맹 유일의 3성 레스토랑이 존재한다고 한다. 주명 선주의 음식들은 대부분 단 맛과 짠 맛이 강하고 훈연향이 많이 난다고 한다.
선주 「창성」: 파괴된 선주 기함. 한때는 선주연맹에서도 가장 번화한 기함이었지만, 성력 6300년경 풍요의 세력들과 전투하던 도중 풍요의 사도 찰나에 의해 살아있는 행성 '식계의 나후'에 삼켜져 파괴되었다. 창성매라는 식물이 있었지만 창성이 파괴되면서 멸종되었다.
선주 「원교」: 성력 3287년, 풍요의 혼란으로 일어난 형제의 전쟁으로 통제력을 잃고 홍거성 방향으로 향한 후 실종되었다. 정황상 반란을 막지 못하고 자폭한 것으로 보인다.
선주 「대여」: 성력 1200년경, 풍요의 백성 시육에 대항하는 전투에서 파괴되었다. 단, 이는 선주 측의 역사 왜곡일 가능성이 있는데, 성력 1200년은 아직 선주가 풍요의 은혜를 받기 전이기 때문.
선주 연맹의 시작은 어느 행성의 황제에서 비롯되었다. 본인의 업적을 불멸로 남기고 싶던 황제는 거대한 함선 9척을 건조해서 영생을 찾아오라고 명했고, 이것이 지금의 선주 연맹이 된 함선들이다. 현재 선주 연맹은 항해를 떠난지 약 8100년 되었으며, 선주 연맹에서 쓰고 있는 성력이 그 기준. 정확히는 8098년이다.
항행에 나선 지 2600년이 되어서야 선주 나부가 겨우 풍요의 에이언즈 약사를 만나 영생을 얻었다. 이어서 다른 7척도 영생을 받게 되지만, 영생으로 인한 빈부격차의 고착화로 내부에서 일어난 반란, 그리고 영생을 노리고 잠입한 풍요의 백성들 때문에 선주는 약 800년 간 혼란에 빠지게 된다. 이 와중에 선주 원교는 실종되기까지 한다.
이때 란이 등장해서 나부의 거목을 쏴버려 수렵의 의지를 보인 다음, 본인도 수렵의 에이언즈에 오른다. 이때부터 남은 7척의 선주는 선주 연맹을 결성하여 풍요에 대한 복수를 천명하고, 풍요에 대한 전쟁을 수행하고 있다.
가장 크게 영향을 끼친 사건은 약 30년 전인 8072년의 제3차 풍요 전쟁. 풍요의 주민 연합군을 선주 요청이 발견하여 봉화를 보냈으나, 이미 늦어 선주 방호가 공격 당한 것으로 선주 연맹 전체가 휘말리는 큰 전쟁이 일어났다. 당시 나부는 6만 3천여 척의 비행선과 12만여 명의 비행사가 손실될 정도로 큰 피해를 입고 패전할 뻔했으나, 란이 수렵의 화살을 쏴서 간신히 승리할 수 있었다. 하지만 선주 방호는 이 빛의 화살의 폭격으로 동천의 1/5이 파괴되는 막대한 피해를 입게 되었고, 대다수의 사람들도 이 전쟁으로 트라우마를 겪고 있다.
약사는 현재까지 이어지는 장생종 관련 내외부 사태의 핵심적인 요인으로 여겨지고 있기 때문에 선주 내부에서는 약사를 섬기거나 숭배하는 것만으로도 처벌 대상으로 여겨질 정도로 엄중히 금지되어 있다. 다만 이는 어디까지나 선주 사람에 한정할 뿐이며, 선주 외부에서 들어온 인물이라면 풍요를 섬기는 이들이라도 입국을 막거나 딱히 제재를 가하는 편은 아니다. 다만 이때문에 반대급부로 풍요를 섬기는 이가 선주에 잠입하기도 쉽기 때문에 질서 유지에 애를 먹는다고.
그 외에도 에이언즈를 자신들만의 호칭인 사명, 천군, 재앙신으로 분류해서 부른다는 특징이 있다. '사명'은 선주가 높게 취급하는 에이언즈, '재앙신'은 선주 입장에서 '재앙의 원흉'으로 취급받는 해로운 에이언즈를 가리킨다. 이에 해당하지 않는, 선악을 구분할 수 없는 다른 에이언즈는 모두 '천군'이라 칭한다. 유일하게 풍요만은 숭배자들 사이에서 '약왕'이라고만 한다.

과거 풍요의 축복이 퍼졌던 영향으로 선주 출신의 사람들은 각자 저마다의 이유로 타 행성의 사람에 비해 훨씬 오래 산다. 선주의 장수종들은 외부인들을 '화외지민' 또는 '단명종'이라고 부르며, 수명이 워낙 길다 보니 많은 부분에서 외부인들과는 '시간'을 대하는 개념이 다르다.
압도적인 수명의 차이 때문인지 선주에서는 화외지민들이 기술이나 학문을 배우러 오는 것을 꺼리지 않고 받아들이나, 정작 찾아온 사람들이 수명의 차이에서 오는 압도적인 경험과 지식의 차이에 짓눌려 버티지 못하는 편이다. 또한 그 압도적인 수명 차이 때문에 단명종인 화외지민들과는 되도록 연애, 결혼 같은 걸로 얽히지 않으려고 하는 편. 하지만 그럼에도 불구하고 결국 인간의 감정이란 건 어쩔 수 없는지, 사제지간으로 얽히거나 연인이 되는 경우도 종종 있다.
장수종은 태어날 때부터 키, 머리 길이, 신체 부위 등의 요소가 전부 고정되기 때문에 신체에 장애가 있어도 이를 외부 기관으로 대체하는 게 불가능하며, 이런 장애 보유자들을 천결자라고 부른다. 날 때부터 두 눈이 보이지 않는 장님이 이를 대체하고자 안구를 적출하고 의안을 착용한데도, 의안 아래에서 멀어버린 눈이 다시 차오르는 바람에 의안을 다시 뽑아내야 할 정도. 해결법이라곤 지속적으로 제거 수술을 받는 방법밖에 없으니 오래 사는 만큼 장애 또한 더 오래 느껴야 하기에 장수종이 가진 장애는 단명종보다도 훨씬 더 끔찍한 저주인 셈. 심지어 항상성 또한 강해서 특정 약물에 대한 면역반응이 강해서 죽을 뻔하기도 한다고 한다. 단 원래 없던 것의 대체품을 사용하는 것 정도는 가능하다.
몇백, 몇천 년 동안 살 수 있어도 결국 생물인지라, 재생 한도를 뛰어넘는 치명상을 입어 죽거나 자연사(비디아다라 족 제외)할 수도 있으며, 장례 풍습은 일반적인 장수종이나 여우족이나 비디아다라족별로 각기 다르다. 장생인은 인위적으로 처분되며 비디아다라족은 윤회를 하기 때문에, 사실상 좁은 의미의 장례 문화를 갖고 있는 것은 여우족밖에 없다.
선주 일반인: 소위 '장수종'이라고 불린다. 먼 과거엔 평범한 인간과 다를 바 없었지만, 풍요 「약사」의 축복을 받아 장수의 삶을 살게 된 인간들이다. 평균 1,000살 정도를 사는 듯하다. 대략 900살을 전후해서 마각의 증세가 나타나면 시왕사의 판관이 처분하여 생을 마감한다. 재생 한계가 말도 안되게 높다. 단순히 치명상이 낫는 수준을 넘어서 목이 잘려 죽은 시신을 수습해 꿰매놓는 것만으로도 부활하는 수준으로, 완전히 사망한 상태에서도 시간이 많이 흐르지 않은 상태라면 간단한 접합만으로도 회생이 가능하다. 그러나 긴 수명을 대가로 장수종들은 말년에 '마각의 몸'이라는 상태에 거의 반드시 빠지게 되고, 비참하게 끝을 맺는 경우가 많다. 때문에 자신들의 장생을 '저주'라고 표현하고 약사를 「역병 재앙신」이라는 멸칭으로 부른다.
여우족: 선주를 구성하는 또 다른 종족. 300년 정도의 수명을 가지고 있어 장수종인 선주 일반인들보다는 짧은 편이다. 그래도 선주 외부인들보다는 오래 살기 때문에 '단명종' 취급을 받진 않는다. 인간보다는 개(犬)과 수인에 가까운데, 동동물와 꼬리 정도만 달고 있다. 과거, 선주가 풍요의 백성인 보리인에게 노예로 부려져 약용으로 착취당하던 여우족을 구원해주고 동맹을 체결하여 선주에 정착하게 되었다. 유전적으로는 숙적인 보리인과 동일하다고 하며, 이 때문에 드물게 여우족이면서도 보리인의 혈통을 가지고 태어나는 경우가 있다. 이 경우 달의 광기라는 현상이 여우족에게도 나타나는데, 달의 광기가 발동하면 저절로 몸이 찢기다 짐승의 모습으로 변이하는 것으로 보이나, 풍요의 축복을 받은 보리인이라면 몰라도 자가 치유력이 부족한 여우족은 대부분 죽어버린다.
비디아다라족: 원래 선주 출신은 아니고, 불멸의 '룽'을 추종하는 종족이었으나 선주로 오게 되었다. 길고 뾰족한 귀가 특징이며, 그중에서도 용존은 머리에 뿔까지 자란다. 수명은 500~600년 정도로, 선주 출신 장수종에 비하면 짧은 편이지만, 수명을 다해도 죽는 게 아니고 알 상태로 돌아가 환생을 하는 식으로 무한한 수명을 이어간다. 환생 이전의 기억은 사라지며 이름을 새로 짓는 등, 거의 타인 취급을 한다. 다만 외모나 재능, 성격 같은 게 크게 달라지진 않기 때문에 환생 이전의 인연을 이어가는 경우도 있다. 오직 환생으로만 삶을 이어나가며 따로 번식을 할 수 없는 종족 특성과 더불어 음월의 난으로 입지가 위태로워지면서 존속에 큰 문제가 생겼다.
기교: 주로 공조사에서 만들어지는 로봇들로, 대부분 스스로 말하고 저마다의 인격을 지녔다.
경청: 사자춤의 탈을 강아지 크기로 작게 줄인 형태를 한 작은 기교로, 진짜 강아지처럼 짖는다. 다른 기교와 달리 반려동물에 가까운 취급을 받지만, 탐지 및 추적능력이 뛰어나다.
기계 새: 작은 학의 형태를 한 기교로, 주로 CCTV나 물류배달에 사용된다. 다른 기교들과 마찬가지로 저마다 인격을 가지고 있다.
운기군: 수장은 원수이며, 원수 휘하의 여섯 장군이 각 선주의 운기군들을 통솔한다. 선주의 6각료들은 각자의 선주에서 독립적으로 운영되는 체제이나, 운기군만은 예외적으로 1명의 원수가 여섯 선주의 모든 통수권을 지닌다. 다른 선주의 장군이라 할지라도 원수의 명령이 내려지면 그 뜻에 따라 움직여야 한다. 즉 원수는 운기군뿐 아니라 선주 연맹 전체의 리더인 셈. 나부의 운기군은 신책부를 본부로 한다. 대외적인 무력, 육상 전력을 담당하며, 선주 내부의 기본적인 치안도 담당한다.
천박사: 수장은 조타수. 선주의 항행을 전담하는 부서이다. 그 외에도 선주 내부의 공역을 감독하고 대외적인 무역을 주도한다. 세관과 출입국관리도 담당해서 선주를 처음 방문하는 외부인이 제일 먼저 접하는 선주의 행정기관. 별뗏목 비행사가 천박사에 소속되어 전쟁에 참여한다. 여우족이 많이 소속되어 있는 것이 특징. 복장은 파란색이 컨셉이다.
태복사: 수장은 태복. 본래의 목적은 선주의 항행에 필요한 항로를 산출하는 부서로, 점복에 관한 부서처럼 묘사되지만 실제로는 고도의 슈퍼컴퓨터를 이용하여 정보를 계산하는 역할을 하고 있다. 그 외에도 정박시에는 주변 항성 및 천체의 공전 궤도 계산 및 동향 파악, 각종 정보의 산출과 선주의 전략 수립에 관여하고 있다. 복장은 연보라색이 컨셉이다.
공조사: 수장은 사침. 본래의 목적은 선주의 항행에 필요한 선박을 제작하고 보수하는 부서로, 각종 공업과 관련된 업무를 수행하고 있다. 기술을 담당하는 부서의 특성상 도제식 조직이며, 단명종에 비해서 월등한 성과를 내지는 못하고 있는데, 시간이 썩어날 정도로 많은 장수종의 특성상 동기 부여가 안 되어서 향상심 자체가 떨어지기 때문이라고. 그래서 천외에서 온 단명종들이 어마어마한 성과를 내고 장수종의 기준에서는 바람처럼 사라지는 경우가 생각보다 잦은 모양. 복장은 붉은색이 컨셉이다.
지형사: 수장은 사형. 본래의 목적은 선주의 서무 담당으로, 인구 문제나 자원 분배, 역법 공포부터 생태 관리, 축제 감독 등의 행정을 담당하고 있다. 쉽게 말해서 운기군을 비롯해 나머지 5사가 하지 않는 일을 다 한다. 격무에다가 대우도 좋지 않아서 선주 내부에서도 딱히 인기는 없는 모양. 경비를 위한 자체 무력도 있기는 한데 당연히 운기군에 비해서는 형편없는 수준. 조직은 총무청 산하 각 동천의 관청이 실무를 담당하며, 복장은 갈색이 컨셉이다.
단정사: 수장은 사정. 사정 휘하 연단사 책임자, 의사장, 보조장의 직책이 있다. 선주에 처음부터 있던 조직이 아니고, 선주가 풍요의 축복을 받게 되면서 연단술을 연구하기 위해 만들어진 조직이다. 당연히 조직의 부침도 매우 커서, 풍요가 몰락하고 수렵이 확고하게 자리를 잡게 된 현재에는 기능이 극적으로 몰락해 의학으로 기능이 제한되어 각 동천에 의원을 개설, 의료 서비스를 제공하는 것이 주된 역할이다. 복장은 연두색이 컨셉이다.
시왕사: 수장은 시왕. 6각료의 소속이 아닌 데다 전면에 나서지 않는 비밀 부서 느낌이 강하다. 처음부터 있던 조직이 아니고, 선주가 풍요의 축복을 버리면서 인위적인 죽음을 만들어내었고, 그 죽음을 담당하기 위해 만들어진 조직이다. 이외에도 풍요에 협조하는 중죄인들을 처결하고, 이들을 가두는 유폐옥도 관할하는 등 조직의 권한도 막강하다. 마각이 침투하여 마각화되기 직전의 선주인은 시왕사 판관에 연행되어 인과의 전당에서 본인의 인생을 모두 기록하고 안락사된다. 이에 관한 시왕의 결정에는 누구도 이의를 제기할 수 없는 모양. 또 풍요의 축복, 다시 말해 선주를 전복하려는 세력이나 세양 같은 이상 현상에 대항하기 위한 강력한 무력 조직도 갖추고 있으며, 운기군이 대외적인 무력과 치안을 담당하면 이쪽은 중죄인을 추적, 심문, 유폐, 처결하는 역할을 담당한다. 판관이 휘하 명관과 무관을 거느리고 업무를 집행하며, 비밀리에 업무를 수행한다는 특성상 시왕사에 한 번 들어오게 되면 사회에서의 기록이 모두 말소된다고 한다. 당연히 멀쩡한 사람이 들어오는 경우도 적으며, 무관 대부분은 중죄인이라고 한다. 업무를 수행할 때는 주변 기계 새의 감시 기능까지 전부 끄기 때문에 시왕사 판관을 실제로 만날 수 있는 사람은 죽기 직전의 사람이나 중죄인 외에는 거의 없다.
약왕의 비전: 선주 나부에 암약하고 있는 반(反) 수렵 조직. 수렵의 란을 추종하는 선주 일반인들과 달리 란을 적대시하고 선주 연맹에선 금기 취급받는 '약사'를 추종한다. 활동 시기 자체는 오래 전부터 있었지만, 현 시점엔 1천년 전 사라진 조직으로 알려져 있었다. 하지만 개척자의 조사 덕분에 나부에서 벌어진 스텔라론의 재앙은 사실 다시 활동을 재개한 '약왕의 비전' 소행임을 알게 된다. 수장이 단정사의 연단사 책임자인 단우인 것도 알아낸 것은 덤. 이후에는 팬틸리아의 행보까지 덧씌워져, 선주 나부에서 벌어진 일련의 사건들을 일으킨 모든 원흉으로 공표되었다. 약사 숭배 사상이 은연 중에 단정사에 많이 퍼져 있었기 때문에 단정사의 의사들 상당수가 약왕의 비전에 연루되어 있었고 사건 이후 단정사의 평판이 나락으로 떨어졌다.

선주 「옥궐」: 융도장군 효광이 지휘하고 있다. 용존은 곤강군. 지식의 에이언즈인 누스를 따르는 신도들의 본거지가 있다. 부현의 이마에 있는 법안 역시 누스에게 직접 하사 받은 것으로, 누스와 가장 밀접하게 연관된 선주이다.
선주 「주명」: 촉연장군 회염이 지휘하고 있다. 용존은 염정군. 선주 중에서도 세양과 공존하고 있는 독특한 곳으로, 세양 퇴마술의 본산이기도 하다. 스타피스 컴퍼니는 미슐랭 가이드처럼 레스토랑의 등급을 우주적으로 매기는데, 선주 연맹 유일의 3성 레스토랑이 존재한다고 한다. 주명 선주의 음식들은 대부분 단 맛과 짠 맛이 강하고 훈연향이 많이 난다고 한다.
선주 「창성」: 파괴된 선주 기함. 한때는 선주연맹에서도 가장 번화한 기함이었지만, 성력 6300년경 풍요의 세력들과 전투하던 도중 풍요의 사도 찰나에 의해 살아있는 행성 '식계의 나후'에 삼켜져 파괴되었다. 창성매라는 식물이 있었지만 창성이 파괴되면서 멸종되었다.
선주 「원교」: 성력 3287년, 풍요의 혼란으로 일어난 형제의 전쟁으로 통제력을 잃고 홍거성 방향으로 향한 후 실종되었다. 정황상 반란을 막지 못하고 자폭한 것으로 보인다.
선주 「대여」: 성력 1200년경, 풍요의 백성 시육에 대항하는 전투에서 파괴되었다. 단, 이는 선주 측의 역사 왜곡일 가능성이 있는데, 성력 1200년은 아직 선주가 풍요의 은혜를 받기 전이기 때문.
선주 연맹의 시작은 어느 행성의 황제에서 비롯되었다. 본인의 업적을 불멸로 남기고 싶던 황제는 거대한 함선 9척을 건조해서 영생을 찾아오라고 명했고, 이것이 지금의 선주 연맹이 된 함선들이다. 현재 선주 연맹은 항해를 떠난지 약 8100년 되었으며, 선주 연맹에서 쓰고 있는 성력이 그 기준. 정확히는 8098년이다.
항행에 나선 지 2600년이 되어서야 선주 나부가 겨우 풍요의 에이언즈 약사를 만나 영생을 얻었다. 이어서 다른 7척도 영생을 받게 되지만, 영생으로 인한 빈부격차의 고착화로 내부에서 일어난 반란, 그리고 영생을 노리고 잠입한 풍요의 백성들 때문에 선주는 약 800년 간 혼란에 빠지게 된다. 이 와중에 선주 원교는 실종되기까지 한다.
이때 란이 등장해서 나부의 거목을 쏴버려 수렵의 의지를 보인 다음, 본인도 수렵의 에이언즈에 오른다. 이때부터 남은 7척의 선주는 선주 연맹을 결성하여 풍요에 대한 복수를 천명하고, 풍요에 대한 전쟁을 수행하고 있다.
가장 크게 영향을 끼친 사건은 약 30년 전인 8072년의 제3차 풍요 전쟁. 풍요의 주민 연합군을 선주 요청이 발견하여 봉화를 보냈으나, 이미 늦어 선주 방호가 공격 당한 것으로 선주 연맹 전체가 휘말리는 큰 전쟁이 일어났다. 당시 나부는 6만 3천여 척의 비행선과 12만여 명의 비행사가 손실될 정도로 큰 피해를 입고 패전할 뻔했으나, 란이 수렵의 화살을 쏴서 간신히 승리할 수 있었다. 하지만 선주 방호는 이 빛의 화살의 폭격으로 동천의 1/5이 파괴되는 막대한 피해를 입게 되었고, 대다수의 사람들도 이 전쟁으로 트라우마를 겪고 있다.
약사는 현재까지 이어지는 장생종 관련 내외부 사태의 핵심적인 요인으로 여겨지고 있기 때문에 선주 내부에서는 약사를 섬기거나 숭배하는 것만으로도 처벌 대상으로 여겨질 정도로 엄중히 금지되어 있다. 다만 이는 어디까지나 선주 사람에 한정할 뿐이며, 선주 외부에서 들어온 인물이라면 풍요를 섬기는 이들이라도 입국을 막거나 딱히 제재를 가하는 편은 아니다. 다만 이때문에 반대급부로 풍요를 섬기는 이가 선주에 잠입하기도 쉽기 때문에 질서 유지에 애를 먹는다고.
그 외에도 에이언즈를 자신들만의 호칭인 사명, 천군, 재앙신으로 분류해서 부른다는 특징이 있다. '사명'은 선주가 높게 취급하는 에이언즈, '재앙신'은 선주 입장에서 '재앙의 원흉'으로 취급받는 해로운 에이언즈를 가리킨다. 이에 해당하지 않는, 선악을 구분할 수 없는 다른 에이언즈는 모두 '천군'이라 칭한다. 유일하게 풍요만은 숭배자들 사이에서 '약왕'이라고만 한다.

과거 풍요의 축복이 퍼졌던 영향으로 선주 출신의 사람들은 각자 저마다의 이유로 타 행성의 사람에 비해 훨씬 오래 산다. 선주의 장수종들은 외부인들을 '화외지민' 또는 '단명종'이라고 부르며, 수명이 워낙 길다 보니 많은 부분에서 외부인들과는 '시간'을 대하는 개념이 다르다.
압도적인 수명의 차이 때문인지 선주에서는 화외지민들이 기술이나 학문을 배우러 오는 것을 꺼리지 않고 받아들이나, 정작 찾아온 사람들이 수명의 차이에서 오는 압도적인 경험과 지식의 차이에 짓눌려 버티지 못하는 편이다. 또한 그 압도적인 수명 차이 때문에 단명종인 화외지민들과는 되도록 연애, 결혼 같은 걸로 얽히지 않으려고 하는 편. 하지만 그럼에도 불구하고 결국 인간의 감정이란 건 어쩔 수 없는지, 사제지간으로 얽히거나 연인이 되는 경우도 종종 있다.
장수종은 태어날 때부터 키, 머리 길이, 신체 부위 등의 요소가 전부 고정되기 때문에 신체에 장애가 있어도 이를 외부 기관으로 대체하는 게 불가능하며, 이런 장애 보유자들을 천결자라고 부른다. 날 때부터 두 눈이 보이지 않는 장님이 이를 대체하고자 안구를 적출하고 의안을 착용한데도, 의안 아래에서 멀어버린 눈이 다시 차오르는 바람에 의안을 다시 뽑아내야 할 정도. 해결법이라곤 지속적으로 제거 수술을 받는 방법밖에 없으니 오래 사는 만큼 장애 또한 더 오래 느껴야 하기에 장수종이 가진 장애는 단명종보다도 훨씬 더 끔찍한 저주인 셈. 심지어 항상성 또한 강해서 특정 약물에 대한 면역반응이 강해서 죽을 뻔하기도 한다고 한다. 단 원래 없던 것의 대체품을 사용하는 것 정도는 가능하다.
몇백, 몇천 년 동안 살 수 있어도 결국 생물인지라, 재생 한도를 뛰어넘는 치명상을 입어 죽거나 자연사(비디아다라 족 제외)할 수도 있으며, 장례 풍습은 일반적인 장수종이나 여우족이나 비디아다라족별로 각기 다르다. 장생인은 인위적으로 처분되며 비디아다라족은 윤회를 하기 때문에, 사실상 좁은 의미의 장례 문화를 갖고 있는 것은 여우족밖에 없다.
선주 일반인: 소위 '장수종'이라고 불린다. 먼 과거엔 평범한 인간과 다를 바 없었지만, 풍요 「약사」의 축복을 받아 장수의 삶을 살게 된 인간들이다. 평균 1,000살 정도를 사는 듯하다. 대략 900살을 전후해서 마각의 증세가 나타나면 시왕사의 판관이 처분하여 생을 마감한다. 재생 한계가 말도 안되게 높다. 단순히 치명상이 낫는 수준을 넘어서 목이 잘려 죽은 시신을 수습해 꿰매놓는 것만으로도 부활하는 수준으로, 완전히 사망한 상태에서도 시간이 많이 흐르지 않은 상태라면 간단한 접합만으로도 회생이 가능하다. 그러나 긴 수명을 대가로 장수종들은 말년에 '마각의 몸'이라는 상태에 거의 반드시 빠지게 되고, 비참하게 끝을 맺는 경우가 많다. 때문에 자신들의 장생을 '저주'라고 표현하고 약사를 「역병 재앙신」이라는 멸칭으로 부른다.
여우족: 선주를 구성하는 또 다른 종족. 300년 정도의 수명을 가지고 있어 장수종인 선주 일반인들보다는 짧은 편이다. 그래도 선주 외부인들보다는 오래 살기 때문에 '단명종' 취급을 받진 않는다. 인간보다는 개(犬)과 수인에 가까운데, 동동물와 꼬리 정도만 달고 있다. 과거, 선주가 풍요의 백성인 보리인에게 노예로 부려져 약용으로 착취당하던 여우족을 구원해주고 동맹을 체결하여 선주에 정착하게 되었다. 유전적으로는 숙적인 보리인과 동일하다고 하며, 이 때문에 드물게 여우족이면서도 보리인의 혈통을 가지고 태어나는 경우가 있다. 이 경우 달의 광기라는 현상이 여우족에게도 나타나는데, 달의 광기가 발동하면 저절로 몸이 찢기다 짐승의 모습으로 변이하는 것으로 보이나, 풍요의 축복을 받은 보리인이라면 몰라도 자가 치유력이 부족한 여우족은 대부분 죽어버린다.
비디아다라족: 원래 선주 출신은 아니고, 불멸의 '룽'을 추종하는 종족이었으나 선주로 오게 되었다. 길고 뾰족한 귀가 특징이며, 그중에서도 용존은 머리에 뿔까지 자란다. 수명은 500~600년 정도로, 선주 출신 장수종에 비하면 짧은 편이지만, 수명을 다해도 죽는 게 아니고 알 상태로 돌아가 환생을 하는 식으로 무한한 수명을 이어간다. 환생 이전의 기억은 사라지며 이름을 새로 짓는 등, 거의 타인 취급을 한다. 다만 외모나 재능, 성격 같은 게 크게 달라지진 않기 때문에 환생 이전의 인연을 이어가는 경우도 있다. 오직 환생으로만 삶을 이어나가며 따로 번식을 할 수 없는 종족 특성과 더불어 음월의 난으로 입지가 위태로워지면서 존속에 큰 문제가 생겼다.
기교: 주로 공조사에서 만들어지는 로봇들로, 대부분 스스로 말하고 저마다의 인격을 지녔다.
경청: 사자춤의 탈을 강아지 크기로 작게 줄인 형태를 한 작은 기교로, 진짜 강아지처럼 짖는다. 다른 기교와 달리 반려동물에 가까운 취급을 받지만, 탐지 및 추적능력이 뛰어나다.
기계 새: 작은 학의 형태를 한 기교로, 주로 CCTV나 물류배달에 사용된다. 다른 기교들과 마찬가지로 저마다 인격을 가지고 있다.
운기군: 수장은 원수이며, 원수 휘하의 여섯 장군이 각 선주의 운기군들을 통솔한다. 선주의 6각료들은 각자의 선주에서 독립적으로 운영되는 체제이나, 운기군만은 예외적으로 1명의 원수가 여섯 선주의 모든 통수권을 지닌다. 다른 선주의 장군이라 할지라도 원수의 명령이 내려지면 그 뜻에 따라 움직여야 한다. 즉 원수는 운기군뿐 아니라 선주 연맹 전체의 리더인 셈. 나부의 운기군은 신책부를 본부로 한다. 대외적인 무력, 육상 전력을 담당하며, 선주 내부의 기본적인 치안도 담당한다.
천박사: 수장은 조타수. 선주의 항행을 전담하는 부서이다. 그 외에도 선주 내부의 공역을 감독하고 대외적인 무역을 주도한다. 세관과 출입국관리도 담당해서 선주를 처음 방문하는 외부인이 제일 먼저 접하는 선주의 행정기관. 별뗏목 비행사가 천박사에 소속되어 전쟁에 참여한다. 여우족이 많이 소속되어 있는 것이 특징. 복장은 파란색이 컨셉이다.
태복사: 수장은 태복. 본래의 목적은 선주의 항행에 필요한 항로를 산출하는 부서로, 점복에 관한 부서처럼 묘사되지만 실제로는 고도의 슈퍼컴퓨터를 이용하여 정보를 계산하는 역할을 하고 있다. 그 외에도 정박시에는 주변 항성 및 천체의 공전 궤도 계산 및 동향 파악, 각종 정보의 산출과 선주의 전략 수립에 관여하고 있다. 복장은 연보라색이 컨셉이다.
공조사: 수장은 사침. 본래의 목적은 선주의 항행에 필요한 선박을 제작하고 보수하는 부서로, 각종 공업과 관련된 업무를 수행하고 있다. 기술을 담당하는 부서의 특성상 도제식 조직이며, 단명종에 비해서 월등한 성과를 내지는 못하고 있는데, 시간이 썩어날 정도로 많은 장수종의 특성상 동기 부여가 안 되어서 향상심 자체가 떨어지기 때문이라고. 그래서 천외에서 온 단명종들이 어마어마한 성과를 내고 장수종의 기준에서는 바람처럼 사라지는 경우가 생각보다 잦은 모양. 복장은 붉은색이 컨셉이다.
지형사: 수장은 사형. 본래의 목적은 선주의 서무 담당으로, 인구 문제나 자원 분배, 역법 공포부터 생태 관리, 축제 감독 등의 행정을 담당하고 있다. 쉽게 말해서 운기군을 비롯해 나머지 5사가 하지 않는 일을 다 한다. 격무에다가 대우도 좋지 않아서 선주 내부에서도 딱히 인기는 없는 모양. 경비를 위한 자체 무력도 있기는 한데 당연히 운기군에 비해서는 형편없는 수준. 조직은 총무청 산하 각 동천의 관청이 실무를 담당하며, 복장은 갈색이 컨셉이다.
단정사: 수장은 사정. 사정 휘하 연단사 책임자, 의사장, 보조장의 직책이 있다. 선주에 처음부터 있던 조직이 아니고, 선주가 풍요의 축복을 받게 되면서 연단술을 연구하기 위해 만들어진 조직이다. 당연히 조직의 부침도 매우 커서, 풍요가 몰락하고 수렵이 확고하게 자리를 잡게 된 현재에는 기능이 극적으로 몰락해 의학으로 기능이 제한되어 각 동천에 의원을 개설, 의료 서비스를 제공하는 것이 주된 역할이다. 복장은 연두색이 컨셉이다.
시왕사: 수장은 시왕. 6각료의 소속이 아닌 데다 전면에 나서지 않는 비밀 부서 느낌이 강하다. 처음부터 있던 조직이 아니고, 선주가 풍요의 축복을 버리면서 인위적인 죽음을 만들어내었고, 그 죽음을 담당하기 위해 만들어진 조직이다. 이외에도 풍요에 협조하는 중죄인들을 처결하고, 이들을 가두는 유폐옥도 관할하는 등 조직의 권한도 막강하다. 마각이 침투하여 마각화되기 직전의 선주인은 시왕사 판관에 연행되어 인과의 전당에서 본인의 인생을 모두 기록하고 안락사된다. 이에 관한 시왕의 결정에는 누구도 이의를 제기할 수 없는 모양. 또 풍요의 축복, 다시 말해 선주를 전복하려는 세력이나 세양 같은 이상 현상에 대항하기 위한 강력한 무력 조직도 갖추고 있으며, 운기군이 대외적인 무력과 치안을 담당하면 이쪽은 중죄인을 추적, 심문, 유폐, 처결하는 역할을 담당한다. 판관이 휘하 명관과 무관을 거느리고 업무를 집행하며, 비밀리에 업무를 수행한다는 특성상 시왕사에 한 번 들어오게 되면 사회에서의 기록이 모두 말소된다고 한다. 당연히 멀쩡한 사람이 들어오는 경우도 적으며, 무관 대부분은 중죄인이라고 한다. 업무를 수행할 때는 주변 기계 새의 감시 기능까지 전부 끄기 때문에 시왕사 판관을 실제로 만날 수 있는 사람은 죽기 직전의 사람이나 중죄인 외에는 거의 없다.
약왕의 비전: 선주 나부에 암약하고 있는 반(反) 수렵 조직. 수렵의 란을 추종하는 선주 일반인들과 달리 란을 적대시하고 선주 연맹에선 금기 취급받는 '약사'를 추종한다. 활동 시기 자체는 오래 전부터 있었지만, 현 시점엔 1천년 전 사라진 조직으로 알려져 있었다. 하지만 개척자의 조사 덕분에 나부에서 벌어진 스텔라론의 재앙은 사실 다시 활동을 재개한 '약왕의 비전' 소행임을 알게 된다. 수장이 단정사의 연단사 책임자인 단우인 것도 알아낸 것은 덤. 이후에는 팬틸리아의 행보까지 덧씌워져, 선주 나부에서 벌어진 일련의 사건들을 일으킨 모든 원흉으로 공표되었다. 약사 숭배 사상이 은연 중에 단정사에 많이 퍼져 있었기 때문에 단정사의 의사들 상당수가 약왕의 비전에 연루되어 있었고 사건 이후 단정사의 평판이 나락으로 떨어졌다.

The fox-kin physician and strategist of the 'Request'. He always wears a smile, but in reality, he is quite calculating.
Born into a prestigious family of the Danjeong Clan, he once closed his heart and cut himself off from the world, abandoning his medical skills. However, he came out into the world to treat 'General Cheongyeok' Biso.
He is well-versed in the research of medicinal food and medicine. Among them, he specializes in spicy foods that stimulate pain, and he invented a cauldron-based medicine-making technique called the 'Gugunggak'.
Chogo is a young fox-kin male with white skin, golden irises, light pink hair extending past his shoulders, and large tail and fox ears. He usually has his eyes closed in a squint, but he has orange irises and red pupils. He carries a red feather fan.
Chogo is a physician belonging to the 'Yeomji (染指) faction', which primarily uses the 'Request's' unique treatment method of utilizing dietary therapy to treat patients. Because of this, he is more skilled in cooking than most chefs, and he often incorporates cooking-related metaphors in his speech. However, this is only for the sake of his medical practice, and he has a high sense of pride as a 'physician', so he emphasizes that he is a physician and not a chef whenever those around him perceive him as a chef. He is one of the two subordinates that Biso trusts, along with Maektaek, and the loyalty Chogo shows is immense.
Despite his sly 말투 and smiling expression, he seems to have low self-esteem, along with PTSD from the war. He doesn't have confidence in his own intuition, or when the situation worsens, he demeans himself as a 'useless piece of trash'. The reason Chogo always greets people with a smile is because that smile can hide all the sense of powerlessness, burden, and the abyss within.
He is very serious about hot pot, and his preferences are clear, so he shows a look of shock that makes his eyes open every time he tries to add coriander or when he doesn't take out the beef quickly enough and it's about to overcook. However, he didn't like spicy food from the beginning, and it seems that he suffered from a kind of taste disorder due to the extreme stress caused by PTSD from the war. At least, it wasn't to the point where he couldn't taste anything at all, as he hated the soda soy milk he was forced to eat by Maektaek's trickery.
