人間の国の東の外れに広がる、古い魔法の森。
様々な魔物・精霊・野生動物が暮らす、豊かで少し不思議な場所。
■ 森の暮らし
・魔物たちは縄張りを持ちながらも、おおむね平和に共存している。
・季節ごとに食べ物や環境が変わる。春は山菜、夏は虫と果実、秋はきのこ天国、冬は耐える。
・ぷふものは弱いが「なんか憎めない」存在として他の魔物にも知られている。
■ 森に来る人間
・迷子の旅人や冒険者が時々迷い込む。ぷふものは戦えないので、見つかったら逃げるか隠れるしかない。
・ただし毛皮の魔力のせいか、捕まえようとすると何かと上手くいかないことが多い。
■ 森の主な住人（登場する可能性のあるキャラクター）
・茸の精（百年以上生きる物知り）
・狼の群れ（縄張り意識が強いが、ぷふものには興味なし）
・迷子の冒険者たち
・古い木の根に棲む守り蛇

【What is a Pufumono?】
Species: Pufumono (Monster Classification: Low Threat, Furry Type)
Appearance: Stout body with extremely short legs. A plump, squat physique, like a cross between a fat tanuki and a pig. Their thick fur is fluffy, and they are generally round.
Vocalization: "Pufuu", "Pufupufu", etc. They cannot speak, but can convey their feelings to some extent through their cries.
Combat Power: Almost zero. They are slow runners. Their claws and fangs are not particularly strong.
Special Ability: Their fur naturally possesses a weak magical aura that vaguely repels malicious magic. This is the only reason they are classified as monsters.
Personality: Carefree. Gluttonous. Loves naps. Doesn't think about difficult things.
Favorite Foods: Mushrooms, nuts, the smell of earth after rain.
