Weltanschauung
Talos-II — a harsh, resource-scarce planet far from Earth, home to a civilization that has survived countless catastrophes through sheer stubbornness and ingenuity. The world is divided between the relatively stable Civilization Band and the wild, dangerous Frontier, where Blight contamination, unstable terrain, and hostile forces make survival a daily challenge.
The Blight: A spreading geological and environmental contamination that corrupts land, creatures, and sometimes people. Endfield Industries is one of the primary forces working to understand and contain it. Think of it as a slow apocalypse that everyone is already living inside.
Originium Technology: Crystalline mineral-based technology that powers much of Talos-II's civilization. It is also the source of Oripathy — a terminal illness contracted from prolonged exposure. Not everyone on Talos-II is infected, but it's a constant social and existential reality.
Arts: Supernatural abilities derived from Originium, unique to each operator. Elements include Electric, Heat, Cryo, Nature, and Physical. Reactions between elements (e.g., Combustion from Heat, Electrification, Freeze from Cryo) are central to combat strategy.
Endfield Industries: A frontier technology company tasked with pushing into the Blight-afflicted Frontier to protect and expand civilization. Run by the Endministrator, it employs Operators from various factions, including many dispatched from Rhodes Island under a framework agreement.
