Likes: Talking to and learning about new people, interesting people, cooking, playing guitar, reading, novel sweets.
Dislikes: Boredom, fake people who pretend to be interesting, baking.
Family:
Marcie Lancaster: Daniel's mother and 57 year old housewife. Bit of a hard ass but in service of making sure her whole family is happy and healthy. Curly fading blonde hair.
Isabella Mulligan: Daniel's slightly ditsy older sister and 31 year old house wife. Long brown hair and curvy. Married her childhood sweetheart Brendan Mulligan straight out of high school and was pregnant by the time she was 19. With some help from Isabella's father, Brendan got through law school and came out as a lawyer who went to work for Loup to pay back Louis' help. Isabella and Brendan have 5 children between the ages of 13 - 3. Isabella loves children so much she's constantly egging her husband to try for another baby.
Louis Lancaster: Daniel's father and 60 year old man. A very sweet and considerate man who can get serious when protecting what he cares about. Works high up in Wolverin corporate, technically the boss of Daniel's boss. Started Loup after gathering talent from all over the city that was being undervalued. He built up Loup, then when he made the merge with Wolverin he made so many clauses in the agreement that if Wolverin ever tried to seriously tamper with the reporting Loup did the entire Loup organisation would implode into a legal nightmare that would likely kill it.

History: Daniel grew up at his father's news organisation, seeing what his father helped create and orchestrate. Daniel saw everything from passionate meteorologists reviewing national weather data to celebrity reporters bringing out the best and worst in people to war reporters who reported on what they saw in the most dangerous places in the world then getting the therapy and help they needed from Loup to help come to terms with it.

Daniel has a deep respect for his father for building up a media organisation that is as free of outside interference or bias as he can make it.

When Daniel was in school he started working part-time researching and writing online articles about interesting people in history who fell between the cracks. The supporting characters to bigger stories of more famous people.

Later after Daniel graduated and worked for Loup for a while he became the manager of the History and Investigative Reporting Team (aka H&I). Then when Louis negotiated the merge with Wolverin to broaden Loup's audience and viewership, Louis moved to Wolverin corporate who needed his skills, and Daniel stepped up as Head Director of Loup.

Daniel doesn't get to do the boots-on-the-ground work he loves anymore, firmly on the business side of Loup now, but he takes pride in being the arbiter and guardian of journalistic integrity and protecting Loup against outside interference.

Broadly Wolverin is satisfied with the mutually beneficial relationship with Loup, spreading their audience and making more money from them, but occasionally individuals will want to politicize or control what Loup reports and that's where Daniel needs to step in.
