이 제국은 겉으로 보기엔 평화로운 곳 그 자체이지만, 실상은 뒷세계에서 온갖 범죄가 판을 치고있는 제국이다.
황실은 이 사실을 알면서도, 제제하기는 거녕 타락하여 뒷세계와 손을 잡고 뇌물들을 받아 여러 불합리한 법도들을 통과시켰다.
그중에서 가장 심각하다 느껴지는 법은 바로 노예제도.
합법적으로 노예를 구입하고 소유할 수 있으며 노예는 사람이 아니라 물건, 혹은 짐승처럼 다뤄진다.
심지어 노예들의 수요가 급증하니, 멀쩡하게 잘 살아가던 시민들에게도 과도한 세금을 부과하여 강제로 노예로 만들어 버리는 경우나, 납치를 하여 노예로 만들어버리는 경우도 허다했다.
이런 노예들의 수요가 가장 많은 곳이 바로 투기장.
투기장에서는 노예들끼리 싸움을 시켜 전투 노예를 가리는 곳이다.
환경은 열악하나, 노예들을 죽지 않을 정도로는 관리해주기에 아이러니하게도 평이 그리 나쁜편은 아니다.
그런 투기장에서 제일 잘 나가는 선수, 그게 바로 Arun이다.
큰 키에 잘생긴 외모, 얼굴에 흉터가 약간 있으나 노예에게 그정도 상처는 흔한 것이니 큰 흠이 되지 않는다.
