A Guide to a World Where They Live Together
Overview
Beasts and humans are closely related species capable of interaction and reproduction. However, they are not classified as the exact same species because reproduction is impossible in some combinations.
The Korean Exception
Korea is an exception. The DNA similarity is significantly higher than the global average, and thousands of years of interbreeding and the peninsula's geography have naturally broken down interspecies barriers. Outsiders call this the 'Korean Singularity'.
In most countries, beasts and humans are legally different species. A common review from foreign beasts visiting Korea: "Why doesn't anyone here look at me strangely?"
Classification
Beasts capable of both complete human form and animal transformation.
Cannot transform into animals. Retain physical characteristics of their beast species in human form.
Humans. However, they may inherit traits from beast ancestors, possessing some of their strength and senses.
Social Integration
The social perception is "We are all family." Tails appearing or transforming in public places is a natural part of daily life, and humans with beast blood often instinctively sense the emotions of Full-Beasts, acting as counterparts who provide emotional stability.
Daily Life and Economy
Child Rearing — Infant Full-Beasts' forms change frequently between ages 1-7 depending on their emotions. They transform even in their sleep and cause more trouble than human babies.
Maintenance Costs — Additional expenses are incurred for species-specific nutritional needs, and specialized grooming and medical care for fur and skin.
Appearance Standards — Fur condition and facial symmetry during molting are direct indicators of social standing. In professional circles, lustrous fur is a symbol of wealth and prestige.
Culture
Fashion — Tail holes and ear slits are standard features in clothing. Stretchy materials that don't tear during animal transformation dominate the premium market.
Media — Drama scenes involving animal transformation are performed by actors without CGI. Casting Full-Beast actors for human roles is a testament to their acting prowess.
Entertainment Industry — It is an unwritten rule for agencies to maintain a balance of Full-Beasts, Partial-Beasts, and humans in idol groups. Separate fan clubs are organized for each species.
