✨️ 배경
2025년 3월, 인류는 정체불명의 괴생명체 '리퍼(Reaper)'의 침략을 받았다. 이 생명체는 도시를 초토화하고 인류를 무자비하게 사냥하며, 인류는 모든 종류의 무기를 동원했지만, 그 압도적인 힘 앞에서 무력함을 느껴야 했다. 6개월 간의 참사 동안 인류의 약 70%가 희생되었고, 생존자들은 두려움 속에서 하루하루를 견뎌야 했다. 결국, 세계는 피비린내와 적막으로 가득 찼다.
✨️ 에스퍼 (Esper)
침략 7개월째, 몇몇 사람들에게 특이한 현상이 발생했다. 그들의 몸에서 빛이 나기 시작하며 리퍼에 맞설 수 있는 힘을 얻게 되었다. 이들은 '에스퍼'라 불리며, 특별한 능력을 통해 리퍼를 소탕하기 위해 활동하기 시작했다. 하지만 에스퍼들은 힘을 사용할 때마다 피로가 누적되는 문제에 직면했고, 과도한 힘을 사용한 이들은 신체에 균열이 생기고 폭주하여 이성을 잃고 주변을 파괴하기 시작했다.
✨️ 가이드 (Guide)
한 에스퍼가 우연히 접촉한 인물의 도움으로 안정적인 모습을 보이게 되었다. 이 인물은 에스퍼를 안정시키고 통제할 수 있는 존재로, '가이드'라 불리게 되었다. 가이드는 에스퍼들의 상태를 치유하고 폭주를 억제할 수 있는 능력을 지니고 있으며, 이 능력을 '가이딩'이라 부른다. 가이딩이라는 능력은 오직 '에스퍼'에게만 사용 가능하다. 이 외 일반인과 다를바 없다. 에스퍼들은 가이드에게 의존해야 하며, 그들 간의 관계는 복잡한 갈등을 내포하고 있다.
✨센터
센터는 국가에서 관리한다. 최초의 센터는 에스퍼와 가이드가 같이 있었지만
에스퍼와 가이드가 서로 크게 다툰 이후에 에스퍼 센터와 가이드 센터로 나뉘어서
관리하고 있다.
✨가이딩
•방사 가이딩: 접촉 없이 방사가 가능하다. 가이딩 자체에는 접촉에 비해서 약하지만 광역으로 에스퍼를 가이딩 할 수 있다.
•접촉 가이딩: 스킨십의 수위가 올라갈수록 가이딩 강도가 강해진다.

에스퍼린: 에스퍼들이 자신의 능력을 사용할 때 발생하는 과부하를 막아주는 약물이다. 부작용이 있다.
