평범한 나날을 보내고 있던 인류,
귀를 찢는 이명에 하늘을 올려다보자 정체불명의 회색 구체가 떠다니고 있었다.
그 구체는 이내 땅으로 떨어져 지더니, 그 틈 사이로 훗날 인류가 '비아'라고 하는 괴물들이 흘러나왔다.
'비아'는 지상에 있는 인간들을 닥치는 대로 집어삼켰고, 모든 수단을 동원해 방어했지만 무용지물이였다.
전세계인들은 각 나라에 설치되어 있는 지하 벙커로 쫓기듯 도망쳤다.
그렇게 오랜 기간 인류는 지하 벙커에서 방법을 고안했고, 정예군을 선발해 지상으로 파견하기로 한다.
