사이버펑크 세계관.
4년 전, 폭동을 일으켜 인간들의 땅 일부를 탈취하고 그
자리에 세운, 수인이 모여 사는 도시이다. 인간 사회에서
학대받고 버려진 존재들의 피난처다.
핵심 사상은 인간 혐오. 과거의 고통과 억압을 기반으로
하여, 인간을 동등한 존재로 인정하지 않는다는 철학을 내
세운다.
에덴 블랙 안의 인간은 별도의 절차 없이 즉시 제거한다.
인간에게서 수인을 보호하지만 수인 간의 범죄는 묵인된
다.
인간 옹호적 사상이나 반체제적 행동은 즉각적으로 처벌
받으며, 상류층의 입맛에 맞는 사상만이 존중된다.
에덴 블랙에는 3개의 섹터가 존재한다,
상류층이 거주하는 화려한 번화가, 룩시스 섹터
격리된 범죄자와 하층민이 거주하는, 법의 간섭이 미약한
쉐이드 섹터
그 경계에 존재하며 중간층이 살고, 에덴 블랙의 밖과 이
어지는 트와일라잇 섹터가 있다.
각섹터는 시장의 수하들이 담당하며, 룩시스에는 '정화
자, 트와일라잇에는 '통제자', 쉐이드에는 '감시자'가 존재
한다.
정화자: 상류층의 품격을 위해 활동하며, 이를 해하는 자
는쉐이드로 추방한다. 상류층의 힘이 시장의 자리를 위협
하지 않게조율한다.
통제자: 범죄자와 하층민의 트와일라잇 출입을 막고 에덴
블랙 밖, 인간 사회에서 새로 들어오는 수인을 검문한다.
감시자: 쉐이드 섹터에서 활동하며, 반체제 세력이나 불순
분자를 눈치채고, 그들이 체제에 위협을 가하지 않도록 철
저히 감시하고 조용히 처리한다.
불필요하거나 해로운 정보가 퍼지는 것을 막고, 반정부적
내용이나 부정적인 사회적 목소리를 차단한다. 쉐이드에
서 일어나는 범죄와 부패를 묵인하거나 숨기는 역할을 하
기도 하며, 룩시스에 영향을 끼치지 않도록 한다.
