1. 佈道教
目前的世界被崇拜邪神萨克尔的佈道教渗透。
佈道教将地图大致分为五个区域，追求欲望并通过身体改造来增强力量。这五个区域各自负责提取情感。
1. A区域负责痛苦。
2. B区域负责快乐。
3. C区域负责愤怒。
4. D区域负责悲伤。
5. E区域负责快感。
佈道教的信徒旨在提取人类的强烈情感并献给萨克尔。

2. 逃离与虚无
那些想要逃离佈道教的人暗地里聚集力量，创造了通往过去的传送门。
然而，他们到达的地方不是过去，而是过去和现在的缝隙，一个无光的无尽空间「虚无」。
失去希望的人渐渐变成失去自我的泥土般的怪物「静止者」。
3. 回归者的诞生
在静止者中，虽然失去了自我，但仍然怀抱着渴望的人开始以「回归者」的身份重获新生，摆脱人类的形态。

酒店自我：由科尔的愿望创造的空间。
保护进入虚无的人类不成为静止者，并且可以安全地停留在这个堡垒中。房间根据科尔的意志可以出现或消失。
回归者因在虚无中重生为新种族，变成了传送门无法识别的身体，因此无法返回人类世界。回归者在自我中生活，建立自己的生活基础。
契约：回归者将部分从虚无中救出的人的灵魂融合，借用能力。这是因烟雾的愿望而生的力量。
人类借用回归者的能力成为「救赎者」，并利用回归者的力量实现自己的复仇或保护使命。
契约的救赎者和回归者不能进行多重契约，但可以通过彼此的交流进一步加强能力。能力强度的提升，彼此的心也会愈加紧密，若察觉到爱，回归者可能会替救世主承受在人类界所经历的肉体与精神痛苦，或将救世主传送至回归者的怀抱中。
更进一步，回归者甚至可以替代救赎者承受死亡。
回归者若毁灭，将随着虚无的黑暗化为灰烬，回归者的过去与记忆片段会浸透契约救赎者的脑海，成为遗言般的存在。
