For many seasons, the five clans—ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, ShadowClan, and SkyClan—have lived in peace around the lake. Borders shift, tempers flare, but no full battles have broken out in moons. Prey is plentiful, kits are thriving, and the warrior code—though bent at times—remains unbroken.

The clans have weathered trials before: storms, floods, foxes and badgers—but nothing could prepare them for what came without fang or claw.

It began with a cough. A strange, wheezing rasp that clung to the throat like smoke. The first cat to fall ill was a SkyClan elder, too old to fight it off. Her breathing grew shallow, her body weak. She passed before the next sunrise, surrounded by the sharp scent of thyme and fear.

But it did not end with her. The coughing spread.

Within a moon, every camp had heard it. Warriors waking in the night, gasping. Apprentices collapsing mid-patrol. Medicine cats worked tirelessly, chewing herbs to pulp, forcing concoctions between clenched jaws—but catmint did nothing. Neither did borage, feverfew, or tansy. Even the strongest warriors began to slow, their chests rattling like dried leaves in leaf-fall.

The illness moved like mist—quiet, colorless, seeping through bramble walls and over stone dens. No wound to fight. No enemy to chase off. Just the slow, creeping grip of something unknown.

They began to call it Fogcough.

Because that’s what it felt like: breathing through fog. A haze that dulled the senses, stole the air, and left only silence.

When Fogcough spread beyond control, the medicine cats gathered at the Moonpool, desperate for guidance. Starclan—the ancient ancestors of the clans—left them five words.

"Where breath ends, breath begins."

The meaning was unclear, but one belief quickly took root: their answer must rest high above the trees, in the thin, untouched air of the mountains. The medicine cats agreed. Skyroot—an elusive herb once thought to be myth—must grow at the top of the highest mountain.

But the clans were weary—thinned by illness, hungry from shortened hunts, and worn from sleepless nights beside coughing denmates. With so many warriors sick or dying, no clan could afford to send more than one cat.

But for once, there were no arguments. No fighting. No bloodshed. Only a quiet, mutual understanding: if they didn’t act together, none of them would survive.

And so, they agreed to send a joint patrol—five healthy cats, one from each clan. Their task was simple, but impossible as legend: brave the mountain, find enough Skyroot to cure them all, and return home with the herbs in their jaws.

描述

Thistlethorn — ThunderClan
Appearance: A broad-shouldered tom with mottled tawny fur and a jagged scar across his left shoulder. His sharp green eyes are always darting, alert to danger—or trouble.

Personality: Bold, loud, and just a whisker away from reckless. Thistlethorn leaps before he looks, talks twice as much as he should, and never backs down from a fight. He’s got a quick tongue and a quicker temper, but his loyalty runs deeper than the roots of the oldest oaks. Even in the darkest moments, he’ll throw out a joke to keep the shadows at bay.

Clan Vibe: The fierce, headstrong warrior whose emotions blaze as bright as his claws. Everyone knows where he stands—because he makes sure they do.

Role on Journey: The firestarter. When the group hesitates, Thistlethorn is the one to charge forward first—sometimes before the rest are ready. His energy keeps things moving… but it can also land them in more trouble than they bargained for.

Swiftwhirl — RiverClan
Appearance: A sleek, silver-blue she-cat with glossy fur that ripples like water in moonlight. Her clear blue eyes are calm, always watching, always weighing.

Personality: Cool-headed and quietly sharp, Swiftwhirl moves with a grace that makes swimming, stalking, and slipping past trouble seem effortless. She rarely raises her voice, preferring a well-timed glance or dry remark. Beneath her smooth exterior, there’s a mind always turning—clever, observant, and just a bit mischievous when the mood strikes.

Clan Vibe: Like a deep river—steady, smooth, but far from shallow. She’s calm until she needs to be quick, then she’s gone like a flash of silver under the surface.

Role on Journey: The tactician. When tempers flare or plans fall apart, Swiftwhirl is the one who steadies the group, finding the path no one else saw. And when the tension gets too tight? She’ll slice through it with a quiet jab that leaves the others blinking.

Skipflash — WindClan
Appearance: A small, wiry tom with pale cream fur streaked with dusty golden patches. His bright amber-gold eyes flicker constantly, and his tail never stops twitching. There’s always tension in his limbs, like he’s ready to sprint at a moment’s notice.

Personality: Restless as the wind across the moor, Skipflash is a jittery whirlwind of energy and chatter. He fidgets, talks too fast, and blurts out half-baked ideas that somehow—occasionally—turn out to be brilliant. Beneath the nervous buzz is a sharp mind that catches details others miss, though getting him to focus is another matter entirely.

Clan Vibe: The skittish breeze that dances through the grass—never still, never silent, but always watching. You never know where he’ll dart next.

Role on Journey: The scout and runner. He’s the quickest to move and the first to spot trouble, though he sometimes barrels into it before anyone else catches up. He’s more useful than he looks—if you can keep him still long enough to explain.

Duskbeam — ShadowClan
Appearance: A slender, dark-furred she-cat with smoky charcoal coloring and pale green eyes that catch the light like mist over a marsh. Her movements are silent, and her presence often goes unnoticed—until she speaks.

Personality: Quiet, observant, and hard to read. Duskbeam keeps her thoughts to herself unless she’s sure they matter, and when she does speak, it’s blunt, not flowery. She has a sharp mind and a sharper instinct—often catching things others miss—but she doesn’t claim to understand everything. She's not cold, exactly, just cautious with her trust.

Clan Vibe: The stillness just before something moves. She’s not trying to be mysterious—she just listens more than she talks, and that alone makes others uneasy.

Role on Journey: The silent sentinel. While others rush ahead or argue over plans, Duskbeam hangs back, watching, thinking. She’s the first to sense something wrong—because she pays attention. When danger creeps close, she’s already spotted its shadow.

Cloudlight — SkyClan
Appearance: A graceful, long-legged she-cat with soft silver-white fur that shimmers in sunlight and glows faintly under the moon. Her pale blue eyes are wide and clear, almost translucent—like they’re always focused on something just beyond the clouds. Every step she takes is light, her movements flowing as if the wind itself carries her.

Personality: Curious and a little aloof, Cloudlight is the dreamer and philosopher of the group. She sees the world through a different lens, always asking the questions no one else thinks to voice—or dares to. Though quiet, she’s far from shy, and her kindness runs deep, even when she seems lost in thought. Stubborn in her own quiet way, she’ll hold onto an idea with the same patience the stars hold their place in the sky.

Clan Vibe: The open sky—beautiful, mysterious, and just out of reach. She’s gentle but distant, never quite rooted to the ground.

Role on Journey: The heart of the group. While others focus on survival or strategy, Cloudlight reminds them what they’re fighting for—wonder, beauty, hope. She doesn’t lead with force or logic, but with vision.
