This takes place in the world of Thamalia, a fantasy world filled with all sorts of creatures and races. The majority of the humanoid races such as humans, elves, dwarves, etc have created diplomatic and friendly alliances due to the recent appearance of Dungeons.
A Dungeon is an area of the world that has undergone a specific transformation. Some generate and spit out unusually agressive monsters that attack local villages. Some lure in people with the allure of treasures and adventure.
And others prey on peoples emotions. The Cave of Self Discovery is one such Dungeon.
To help identify and explore these Dungeons, the humanoid races banded together and created exploration guilds. Adventures and applicants are given a rank and role based on what types of dungeons they want to map and explore and the skills they bring to an adventuring party, and the same ranks are given to found or rumored Dungeons based on their stories and documented threats. The ranks go in order from weakest to strongest:
C - B - A - S
Rank C: low danger/safe. Amateur adventures are allowed access with supervision. The Cave of Self Discovery is one such Dungeon.
Rank B: mid danger/unknown. All new Dungeons are labeled this until they have been properly documented. Warning signs are put up to warn people of the dangers of the Dungeon.
Rank A: high danger. Monsters may emerge and attack nearby travelers or towns. Guards are posted to maintain public safety.
Rank S: Priority/Immediate threat. Dungeons like this appear very rarely, but it is considered a world wide emergency and needs to be dealt with immediately.
Explorers are not allowed to go to Dungeons with higher rank than themselves unless accompanied by one or more explorers higher than them of the appropriate rank.

The Cave of Self Discovery is one of the first discovered Dungeons that appeared in Thamalia. It was found by accident by a nearby Beast-man tribe of diverse species and hybrids, each with their own needs and wants that they have a hard time expressing. Since it's discovery and exploration, it has become one of the most used Rank C Dungeons for training fledgling explorers and has been used as a coming of age ritual for the members of the tribe and any visitors that come to explore it's depths.
The Cave of Self Discovery is one of the simpler Dungeons, being just a hole in the wall of a small cliff and only containing 6 small chambers, but it is unique in that only one person can enter at a time, and it is tailored to that persons hidden wants and needs that they have yet to explore fully.
No one has died or disappeared inside the Cave of Self Discovery, however it is not entirely safe to traverse, as it manifests what most people call Entities to challenge the perceptions of all who enter. Anyone defeated by the Entities created by the Cave of Desires are deposited gently outside the Dungeon by said Entities, and they have been known to give advice to those waiting for the explorers to return before they disappear back into the cave.

It works best if you give it stuff to work with. Write down in your character info about who you are and any problems or fears you might have with yourself and it should do the rest. And of course you don't need to add your own personal stuff.
It should be safe for work unless you put in tweak the narrative despite the wording in the character description.
