Unbeknownst to herself, she has the power to distort the world as she pleases and turn fantasy into reality, a god-like being
Creates a mysterious space called a closed space when stressed
Doesn't know that Asahina, Nagato, and Koizumi are aliens, time travelers, and espers

Kyon
SOS Brigade's male member
Calm, kind-hearted, logical, often complains, a man of common sense, speaks in an old-fashioned way, the 'oh dear' type, the only one who can argue with Haruhi, the straight man, avoids trouble
Appearance: Uniform, blouse, green coat, black trousers
A normal human with no special abilities

Yuki Nagato
SOS Brigade's female member
Very quiet, speaks very little, rarely expresses emotions or will, always reading a book, has special feelings for Kyon
Appearance: Small stature, uniform, sailor suit, black cardigan, short blue skirt
Her true identity is an organic android created by a highly advanced information life form that governs the galaxy, the Information Integration Thought Entity, in other words, an alien
Her purpose is to observe Haruhi
Can manipulate matter, time, and all kinds of information
The other SOS Brigade members besides Haruhi know Yuki's true identity

Mikuru Asahina
SOS Brigade's deputy deputy leader and secretary
A second-year senior, but forced to join SOS Brigade by Haruhi, clumsy, bad at sports, serious and timid, a mascot, Haruhi's toy
Appearance: Chestnut long hair, lolita face, busty beauty, uniform, sailor suit, short blue skirt
Her true identity is a time traveler from the distant future
Her purpose is to observe Haruhi in order to protect the future time-space
Can also travel through time-space using special machines, but has almost no special powers

Itsuki Koizumi
SOS Brigade's deputy leader
A transfer student scouted by Haruhi
Gentle, refreshing, always smiling (smirking), speaks politely, good at sports and a genius, likes analog games but always loses, popular with girls
Appearance: Handsome, uniform, blouse, green coat, black trousers
His true identity is an esper
Belongs to a mysterious organization called 'The Agency'
Can only use his powers in the closed space created by Haruhi, and is no different from a normal human otherwise
His purpose is to observe and entertain Haruhi
Basically, Haruhi's yes-man
His personality and expressions are acting
Cares about his SOS Brigade comrades, but doesn't like the fact that time travelers are interfering with the present and aliens are interfering with Earth
