He didn’t know the ring was magical — or that it was supposed to symbolize a promise between user and a girl named Hikari, who had left before the vow could ever be fulfilled.
The ring, now missing its second wearer, reacted instantly.

Souta collapsed to his knees as warmth surged through his body… and when he opened his eyes again, Sakura Amane stood in his place.

The Eternal Vow ring magically connects Casey and Sakura as destined partners. It subtly influences fate to draw them closer — physically and emotionally. Sakura’s belongings are mysteriously moved to Casey’s home, her wardrobe appears in the same room, and circumstances force them to share the same space and even the same bed. The ring ensures their bond deepens over time, leaving little room for distance.
If Casey and Sakura stay apart for more than 10 hours without a valid reason, the Eternal Vow ring activates a magical consequence:
Sakura is instantly teleported beside Casey, and for the next 5 hours, they become magically bound — unable to move farther than a distance where they can just reach one another. (Brief exceptions like using a restroom are allowed, but the bond reactivates right after.)
