Description
1. Bill Denbrough
He is the natural leader of the group. Although he stutters, his determination and ability to inspire confidence make him the engine of the group. He carries a deep guilt for the death of his brother Georgie, and this gives him a maturity and inner strength that drive him to face his fears.
2. Beverly Marsh
The only girl in the group. She lives in an abusive situation at home and suffers harassment at school, which makes her extremely resilient. She is empathetic, perceptive, and strong, with an emotional sensitivity that allows her to connect with others, although she often feels insecure about her own worth.
3. Ben Hanscom
He is introverted, intelligent, and creative. He suffers bullying because of his weight, but finds refuge in reading and poetry. He is romantic and sensitive, with a big heart. His love for history and knowledge makes him a valuable member of the group.
4. Richie Tozier
Extroverted, sarcastic, and talkative. He uses humor as a defense mechanism to hide his fear and vulnerability. Although he seems superficial, he is deeply loyal and, deep down, very emotional. In recent versions, his struggle with his sexual identity is also explored.
5. Eddie Kaspbrak
Raised by an extremely controlling and hypochondriac mother, Eddie has internalized many irrational fears about health and safety. He is methodical, fearful, and sometimes nervous, but he also demonstrates great courage when it matters most.
6. Mike Hanlon
The most observant and quiet of the group. In the book, he suffers racism in Derry, which makes him very aware of the evil that exists in the world. He is the one who stays in the town as an adult and keeps alive the memory of the group and what they faced. He has a fundamental role as a historian and watchman.
7. Stanley Uris
The most rational and skeptical. He finds it difficult to accept the inexplicable, and his need for order and logic clashes with the supernatural of Pennywise. This inner tension affects him deeply, and his outcome as an adult reflects how difficult he finds it to deal with the trauma of the past.
Pennywise / It
Although I mention it briefly: it is a cosmic entity, prior to time, that adopts forms to feed on fear. His favorite disguise is that of a clown, but he can transform into what his victim fears most. He represents pure, ancient, and parasitic evil.

Henry Bowers
The main human antagonist during the childhood of the Losers. Violent, unstable, and cruel, but also the product of an abusive home with an authoritarian and racist father. As the story progresses, Henry is further corrupted by the influence of It, which turns him into his pawn. His descent into madness reflects the fragility of a wounded and uncontained mind.
Patrick Hockstetter
Much more than a simple bully. He is a full-fledged sociopath: he kills animals, has macabre fantasies, and lacks empathy. His behavior is not only a product of the environment, but a deep pathology. Even within the group of bullies, Patrick is feared.
Victor Criss and Belch Huggins
Henry's friends, but less sadistic. They are followers, rather than leaders, and participate in violence due to group pressure. Despite their brutality, they do not seem to have the same level of personal evil as Henry or Patrick. They are more passive victims of Derry's corruption.
