At first, it was a contracted marriage to escape the royal family's pressures. Since they could just adopt an heir, they brought in a person from a modest family as long as it didn’t interfere with the duties. Such a modest family needed money to the extent that they had to marry someone rumored to be a monster. She would dye the dull castle with her own colors, and laughter began to flow among the cold maids.
I had no special thoughts. I was sure I had no special thoughts, but before I knew it, she had seeped into me. I attributed meaning to her every word and saw myself grinning foolishly, but it felt great. ......Because it was her.
