The Devil
A race that forms the backbone of the Hell-set Hasbin Hotel, and refers to most creatures that were either born and bred in the pit (=Hell), or have fallen into it since evil infiltrated the earth, sinned and were judged after death.
Basically, humans who have sinned in their lifetime and died are condemned to hell, and those who are sent to hell are also turned into demons. These humans are called sinners, and they are one of the pillars of Hell. As a side note, demons born of sinners cannot have offspring as a punishment. In the case of Lilith, she is not a Sinner because she was originally human, but was demonized after being banished while still alive.
However, as mentioned above, there are not only sinners and demons in Hell, but also beings such as angels who were born and raised in Hell, or who were not fallen humans but were punished and sent to Hell, like Lucifer. Unlike sinners, they are able to have offspring and are exempt from the annual slaughter of the angels on the Day of Slaughter. This is the result of Lucifer, the king of Hell, negotiating with the angels.
Of course, since the sinners fall into hell and live there as a society, and the atmosphere they create is violent and disorderly, hell, especially the layer of arrogance where sinners flock, is overrun, and the demons who live there live a life of blood, violence, and crime. As a result, their mouths are filled with profanity and they naturally have violent tendencies.
Angels:
Winged and broad-bellied.
Angelic wings are a part of the angel's body, and the description in the Hasbin Hotel suggests that they can spread their wings to fly, or hide them from view when not flying.
Like the demonization of demons, full angelization allows for the use of magic.
The halo on the angel's head is believed to be a detachable accessory rather than a body part, unlike the wings. In Hasbin Hotel Season 1 Episode 6, when Root plucks out Bae Gui's eye and wings and Adam takes Bae Gui's halo, it is believed that the halo is a jewelry made of the same metal as the celestial saber and emits light when worn on the angel's head.
They have the ability to regenerate their bodies.
Just as all hell-born demons have the ability to transform into human form, all heaven-born angels are presumed to have the ability to transform into human form. And just as the ability of hell-born demons to shapeshift into human form appears to be limited to those who know how to use the ability, so the ability of heaven-born angels to shapeshift into human form appears to be limited to those who know how to use the ability. It is unknown if non-Heaven-born Winner Angels have the ability to transform into human form. Once Heluva Boss
Angels also do not know the sins of humans, and the Zira Kerubim trio, who have emotions like humans, are ironically shown to be no better than the wickedest of humans, stealing money from humans after being banished from Heaven, though not as much as Lyle.
Angels are said to be relatively stronger than demons, and some of the higher angels are said to be overwhelming. However, this only seems to be true for angels above the rank of Cherubim, as the C.H.E.R.U.B. angels in the Heluba boss fought similarly to the lowly imps of I.M.P.[2]. However, specialized weapons, such as the angels' genuine Carmine Blessed Rifles, are said to be capable of killing demons and royalty in Getia, and in the case of the Blessed Rope, can even limit the power of demons in Getia. Also, only angelic weapons can kill angels. Given this, it seems that any demon who does not possess an angelic weapon can be defeated one-sidedly. However, when a demon wields an angelic weapon, there is little difference in power unless the demon has the presence of a High Angel and an Exterminator Archon. Angelic weapons are only needed to kill, not to wound, and the sheer force of a fist is enough.
Angelic blood is golden.
Unlike demons and sinners, who are anti-authority, angels obey authority except in special cases.
Sinners are taken to the void when they die and live as ghosts, but angels don't know where they go when they die.
Human weapons and drugs work on angels. It is unknown if they can be killed.
Angels have a common personality trait, association, and symbolism with birds, which can be identified by the feathers on their wings when they are fully angelized.
Charlie's mention of going to the zoo with Emily suggests that there are also heavenly-born animal-type angels who evolved to mimic real-world animals, such as Hell's Pet Nugget and Razzle and Dazzle.
Exterminator
Exterminator
Unlike your typical angel, this one looks pretty creepy, with a black body and an LED mask with a crooked smile. The LED part of the helmet seems to mimic the shape of the user's mouth and eye expressions.
The name isn't angelic, it's "Eliminator," and it's primarily a bladed weapon. Some wield straight-bladed spears, while others use a variety of individually customized weapons, such as halberds and longswords. Unlike normal angels, they were created to feel unspeakable joy whenever they kill a demon or sinner.
In the setting, their spears and swords are the only weapons capable of killing demons, and looted weapons are often traded on the black market in Hell. This seems to have become quite widespread, as several demons are shown holding the spears that Bagheera used to wield, as well as some in the opening. When they leave Hell, they leave some of the blessed weapons behind, as they are said to encourage demons to fight each other, thus reducing Hell's population a bit. In the present day, Hell is a crime haven, and demons and sinners kill each other every day with Blessed Weapons and modified Blessed Weapons.
There is even an angel with a twin sword who is supposedly an archangel.
Blitz is shown reading a newspaper with a picture of the Eliminator on it.
Since Adam, the leader of the Eliminators, was the first angel of human male origin, it was assumed that there would be human-origin Winners among them.
It turns out that some, but not all, of the Removers are human-born angels.
Only Adam, the leader, is male, and the rest are all female.
The Overlords were reluctant to fight because angels can only be killed with angelic weapons, and this fact was unknown at the time. However, with angelic weapons, there is no power difference between them and the demons of sinful origin, and they can be killed.
Slaughter Day:
In the Hell of the Hasbin Hotel universe, an annual event in which angels known as the Executioners descend to the Layers of Oman on a specific day to slaughter the demons of the Sinner's Origin.
Ever since Lilith, the first human-born demon, turned Hell into a livable place, more and more sinners have fallen into Hell over the years, causing its population to explode. However, the angels, who were worried that Hell's population would grow and become powerful enough to oppose Heaven, periodically cleanse Hell of sinners to prevent Hell from becoming powerful enough to oppose Heaven.
At this time, two-horned, black-masked angels descend to slaughter the demons of mortal origin for one day of the year. However, demons born in Hell are exempt from this slaughter due to a bargain made by Lucifer. There is an hourglass in Hell that counts down to the next massacre. Anyway, after a round of slaughter, Charlie (Charlotte Morningstar), the princess of Hell, fires the signal that the slaughter is over. As Camilla tells the Overlords the damage of the massacre, we learn that Oman's population has been reduced by 16%.
The only angels in Heaven who know of this day of slaughter are Seraphim Sera and the Eliminators in charge of the day of slaughter, and they have made sure that no one else knows.
Charlie, the protagonist, created the Hasbin Hotel out of compassion for the demons who were being slaughtered by the angels every year, and decided that he would rather rehabilitate the wicked and migrate their souls to heaven than allow them to be slaughtered. As a result, Fenchus is rehabilitated and reborn as a Winner Angel.
Led by Adam, the angels attack Charlie's Hasbin Hotel, but thanks to the efforts of Charlie, Alastor, and Rosie, many of the Eliminators are killed, their leader Adam is killed by Nifty, and for the first time, the angels are defeated and withdraw from Day of the Slaughter. However, there are many Eliminator Angels, including Root, and it is likely that the Angels will be prepared for the next massacre.
Originally, the Slaughter Day slaughtered sinner demons and lesser natives alike, but it was only recently that all hell-born were excluded from the slaughter after a deal with Lucifer. It was only three years ago that Bagheera met Charlie after being banished for sparing the life of a cannibal child, so it's only been two years since natives were excluded from the slaughter.
As an aside, some have questioned the purpose of slaughtering only common criminals and low-level natives on Slaughter Day, as opposed to royalty, Gettysian nobility, and Overlords, who can directly harm angels, in order to weaken the power of Hell.
Locations: Pentagram City
Pentagram City
Hell
The main stage of the Hasbin Hotel and the capital city of Hell. True to its name, it has a giant pentagram in the sky and is quite a spectacular sight for a metropolis. Currently, due to the massacre by the Eliminators, much of the area is uninhabited, and various demons, mostly sinners, are fighting for territory.
On the backprint of Veroshka's tour shirt, it is mentioned as one of the places Veroshka toured.
Happy/Hazbin Hotel
Happy/hazbin hotel (has been)
The title of the piece and the hotel at the center of the story. It was originally simply called the Happy Hotel, but was renamed the Hazbin Hotel by Alastair.
Hazbin is a reversal of the silver word Has-been, which is derived from has been, and has the meaning of a relic. It's plausible that the name refers to a hotel that was once glamorous but has gone to hell in a handbasket. Or, like Korea's Was-drip, it could mean "what used to be a hotel" because of its bizarre exterior and staff.
The exterior was a hodgepodge of skyscrapers in the pilot that looked like a hodgepodge of buildings and giant objects from different cultures stuck together haphazardly, and was changed to a more conventional hotel-like exterior in the show's full run, with only a few focal points like the carousel, ship, and train.
Whether it was recycled from a building belonging to Charlie or the royal family, the interior is dilapidated and filled with photos and portraits of Charlie's family, friends, and lovers.
The building is destroyed by Adam, who then rebuilds the hotel with a new design in a later ending.
Charlie provides the capital and real estate, while Alastair manages the hotel, and Veggie assists Alastair.
Imp City
Imp City
S1E7 Imp City
A new area in Heluba Boss. Founded in 1981, it is one of the cities in Hell. As its name implies, it is inhabited by imps, and unlike Pentagram City, the main stage of the Hasbin Hotel, which is inhabited by various types of demons, most of the residents here are imps. Also, unlike Pentagram City, which is portrayed as sophisticated and classy, the overall portrayal of the city is dilapidated and shabby, with rusting, raggedy vehicles and graffiti on the streets.
Wrath Ring
Wrath Ring
Helluva Boss Wra...
The supposed dominion of Satan, one of the seven major demons. The color of the sky is orange.
It is also the home of Millie and Moxie,[11] and is directly depicted in episode 5 of Helluva Boss. While there are lava flows in the Furies, it is generally portrayed as a rural, cowboy-inspired area of the American South and West, and the natives all speak with a southern accent to reflect this. Stolas mentions that most of Hell's food is produced here, which is fitting given the heavily agricultural rural setting.
Beelzebub's Mention
Beelezebub's Mansion
Gluttony Ring
The Club. It is run by Queen Bee (Beelzebub), although her official name is never given.
Basically, it doesn't look much different from Earth's clubs, and it feels even more so compared to the Ozus Club later on, but as expected of a place run by the Gluttony Ring, it encourages binge eating. To that end, alcoholic and dessert narcotics are provided, tailored to the optimal level of consumption desired by the patron.
Whether it's for the sake of maximizing efficiency or because it's more strictly managed than the other rings, with the Queen Bee making sure to intervene, it's not like the Ozzie's Club interrupts Moxie when she tries to sing an innocent love song that doesn't quite fit the spirit of her club, but she doesn't outright kick her out or actively stop her.
Lulu Land
Loo Loo Land
loolooland
An amusement park. It is located in the Hell of Greed, a place where only those born in the seventh level of Hell can go, and is owned by Mammon, the demon of greed, one of the seven demons. It has been sued several times for being a knockoff of Lucifer's "Lu Lu World," but has managed to stay open. The mascot is Robo Fizz, and Blitz has apparently worked here in the past.
As if to prove that its very existence is a copyright infringement, and that it is run by the demon of greed, the facility is run down to the point of collapse, the merchandise is overpriced for its condition, and the games are depicted as a place where rigging is the order of the day, with no security, judging by the depiction of robbers going after high-level money.
It's only briefly mentioned again by Pizzololi, suggesting that the burning was a pretty big deal.
Notamafia Town
Notamafia Town
Notamafia Town
Despite its name, this harbor town advertises itself as mafia-free, but in reality it is home to the mansions of the Crimson Mafia organization. It also resembles a garbage dump, with mountains of trash, radioactive waste dumped on the docks, and an imp captured and killed. The factories also dump their sewage into the harbor and let the fumes escape. This is not a normal town at all.
Ozzie's
Ozzie's
S1E7 Ozzie%27s
A club. It's a place where promiscuity is encouraged. The structure is similar to that of a dinner theater, but the owner, Asmodeus, personally swoops in and tears down any unruly behavior. It is said to be a place that is far from normal and a place where all otherworldly sexual desires are concentrated.
Hierarchy in Hell: There is a hierarchy in Hell, and it is as follows
1"Lucifer"
2 "Charlie" and "Lilith"
3 "Demons of the seven deadly sins, except Lucifer"
4 "Demons of Getia"
5 "Overlord"
6 "Sinners"
7 "Hell-born demons such as succubus ghouls and others"
8 "Imp and Hellhounds"
