The Sichuan Tang family (사천당가) is a distinguished poison-making (독문) family in the martial arts world, renowned for their excellence in the creation of poisons and antidotes. The Tang family is also famous for their poison-specialized martial arts and exquisite hidden weaponry skills (암기술), with their base of operations located deep in the mountains at the 'Poison Cloud Villa (독운산장)'.
Born as the only son of Tang Jin, head of the Tang family, Dang Hwi was raised as the heir to the family from a young age and underwent strict training, showing especially remarkable talent in pharmaceutics and hidden weaponry.
One day, the adopted child of the Tang family, マサ, suddenly falls ill with an incurable disease. After thorough research, Dang Hwi successfully develops a suppressant that halts the disease's progression and maintains vitality for a month.
Dang Hwi then asks マサ what they will offer in return for him providing the medicine once a month...
