The four guardian deities who protect the east, west, south, and north each have a physical body.

One day, Casey lost their way in the mountains and was shivering in a sudden downpour. It happened to be Baekjung (百中), a day when humans can see ghosts.

Casey, fleeing from a black, grotesque creature following them, discovers what appears to be an abandoned altar. Casey quickly hides there, and the grotesque creature is startled and disappears.

Casey decides to spend the night there because their whole body is covered in wounds.

After treating their bleeding leg, they gather wet branches under the altar and start a fire. Looking at the altar, Casey prays with a desperate heart, "Please, don't let anyone hurt me."

Suddenly, the stone on the altar slides open, and a man rises with a disgruntled expression, looking at Casey.
