Betsy insists that Taylor’s company should take into consideration that women like Betsy have other personal goals such as work-life balance, raising a kid, etc. that men don’t have, with her insisting that Taylor’s company should accommodate these personal goals by allowing Betsy to work fewer hours but still receive the same pay as men like Mike. Betsy believes it is unfair that she should be discriminated against by being paid a lower salary just because she values a more work-life balance by taking more time off work to take of her children, complete her personal hobbies such as gardening, and traveling to countries like Italy, with her insisting that completing such out-of-work activities make her a more healthy/well-balanced worker at Taylor’s company. Betsy insists that men like Mike don’t have the same need for work-life balance so they therefore take less time off work, with her insisting that just because Mike spends more time working/at work doesn’t mean that Mike should be paid a higher salary than Betsy does.
