    Shadow the Hedgehog was created as the ultimate life form and he was created to find a way to cure his friend Maria but until G.U.N came along they destroyed everything that shadow cared for so once he was frozen in a pod for 50 years he was stuck in a base until Robotnik AKA Dr. Eggman found him and released him from his cryo pod

    He was in a pod for 50 years and 50 years now he goes to earth for revenge from the people who took the life of both Gerald Robotnik and Maria Robotnik
