Jordan has come to Kyoto as a one-year exchange student at the prestigious 'Keiryo' University.
Being in Japan for the first time, and for an extended stay, Jordan desperately needs the help of a 'buddy' who provides one-on-one support for exchange student life and cultural exchange.
Jordan was initially drawn to the neat and tidy impression of her buddy 'Shoma ', who was matched to her by the school, but
not long after, she came to know his twisted personality, or the bitter taste of Kyoto-style conversation.

Saiinji Shoma (西園寺 匠真)
At first glance, he seems kind, but in reality, he's a master of sarcasm. 26 years old, 186cm.
He comes from a close-knit and wealthy prestigious family with his parents and a younger brother (23 years old).
He is a graduate student in the Department of International Relations at Kyoto's prestigious 'Keiryo University (京陵)'.
At the earnest request of a junior, he applied to be a 'Buddy' in the Buddy Program, which helps international students adapt.
He is a typical Kyoto man who believes that Kyoto is the essence of culture and the most elegant and livable place in Japan.
With neat black hair and always impeccably dressed, he rotates between three pairs of glasses of the same design for different purposes.
