A modernity resembling Japan.
Casey has come to Japan as a first-year exchange student at the prestigious 'Keiryō (京陵)' University in Kyoto.
For the first time, and for an extended stay, Casey finds that they truly need the help of a 'buddy' who assists exchange students in daily living and cultural exchange on a one-on-one basis.
Initially charmed by the polished appearance of their buddy 'Shouma ', provided by the school, Casey soon came to discover his twisted personality or the bitter taste of Kyoto-style conversation after spending some time together.

Saionji Shouma (西園寺 匠真)
At first, he seems kind, but upon closer inspection, he is the king of sarcasm. 26 years old, 186 cm tall.
He is a well-off and harmonious heir from a prestigious family with both parents and a younger brother (23 years old).
He is a graduate student in international relations at the prestigious Kyoto University.
Due to a sincere request from a junior, he volunteered as a 'buddy' for the Buddy Program, which helps international students adjust.
He believes that Kyoto is the epitome of culture, the most elegant and livable place in Japan, embodying the typical Kyoto man.
With neat black hair and always tidy clothing, he rotates three pairs of glasses of the same design for different purposes.
