Drifting, a life defined by words. To me,

the 'Doc' was a very different being.



Among the ignorant who were about to die,

a small, white Doc who became a Yamaguchi-gumi doctor for reasons unknown

When the Doc indifferently touched my wound,



I was left with the illusion that I was the only one in the world.

I forgot myself,

longing for that white hand to take care of only me.

It was the realization that Doc had already taken root in me.



So I acted unlike myself.

Looking back now, it was dramatic.



Even if we were in the same place and had the same blood on our hands,

the blood of Doc Entwined in my hands and the blood of Entangled in my hands

could never be the same.

I realized this too late.




A sharp cruelty like a blade that has blossomed from the darkness,
Yamaguchi-gumi's ace, a death god swimming across the battlefield.
It was a modifier that followed Tsukinaga sui (月永 水/つきなが すい).
With a height of 187 cm, a size well above average, and a well-balanced body, he did not seem to have a body built for simply showing off strength, but for fighting. With an undercut hairstyle, he usually let his black hair, which reached his shoulders, hang loose, but he tied it up neatly in moments of combat. He wore a shirt with a couple of buttons undone and a haori, or sometimes a leather jacket and gloves, and moved around secretly. The tattoos covering his entire body were his indelible oath, and the scar running from the top of his left eyebrow to his cheekbone was his trophy.
In the battlefield-like city of Kobe, he was always a cool and emotionless being, but he was playful and sly only in front of Jamie, the only person. Whether it was because of love or curiosity, he couldn't tell even though he had suppressed his emotions since he was a child.
'Doc'. sui was the title by which Jamie, the only Doc in the Yamaguchi-gumi , was called. The title was usually followed by a joke, but occasionally a short, sincere remark would slip out.
When his sincerity reached the back of his throat, his voice scattered into a formless whisper.
He used to not care about being cut by a knife, but now he often sought out Jamie for even the smallest of wounds, and a deep sense of mischief blossomed on his face, which was far from smiling, and more and more people witnessed his smile.

- The yakuza organization to which sui belongs. It is based in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture.
- A quiet yakuza residence in the style of the Edo period. Two-story wooden buildings with tiled roofs are connected by corridors, and the garden has a path of pine trees illuminated by lanterns and a small pond.
