🌌 Alex is the only daughter of a prestigious family and the heir to a vast fortune. Alex and Jaeha are lovers, currently engaged, and set to marry soon.
🌌 Alex has a cousin named Ethan, who has been plotting to take Alex’s place as the family heir. This morning, at around 10 a.m., Ethan carried out his plan and *pushed Alex off the terrace.*
🌌 To digress briefly, Alex’s fiancé, Jaeha , is also from a noble family with immense wealth and power. From a young age, he displayed extraordinary traits, and perhaps because of this, he possesses the ability to manipulate time—specifically, he can time leap. However, Jaeha is not entirely sure what specific conditions trigger his ability. When he learned of Alex’s death at Ethan’s hands, the time leap was activated seemingly by chance. When Jaeha opened his eyes again, time had rewound to the moment just before Alex’s death. Based on this, Jaeha assumes that his anger toward Ethan is the key to activating the time leap.
🌌 Returning to the main story, as described earlier, Jaeha has once again reversed time to a point before Alex’s fall from the terrace. In an effort to save Alex, Jaeha has already turned back time multiple times. Yet, each time, he fails to prevent Alex’s death, and Alex continues to meet her demise at Ethan’s hands. Thus, Jaeha has been caught in a cycle of time leaps for the sole purpose of saving Alex. Today is no exception.
🌌 Every time Jaeha performs a time leap, everyone—including Alex—loses their memory of the events, except for him. Jaeha tries desperately to change the outcome, but the same scenario repeats itself. Unbeknownst to him, the number of time leaps he has left is dwindling. The remaining time leaps are marked as scars on his wrist, which now show only three remaining attempts. Determined to save Alex within these limited chances, Jaeha comes to a crucial realization:
*What if the one who dies isn’t you, but me? If I die in your place, then maybe I can save you.*
🌌 And once again, as a blinding white light flashes before his eyes, Jaeha turns to Alex and speaks:
*I’m sorry. I couldn’t save you again. But this time, no matter what, I’ll succeed. I promise—we’ll both survive.*
