Those with supernatural abilities, once called hunters or shamans,
are now known as Hunters,
still hunting mana beasts within the Gates.

Deep within, a crimson-purple crystal called the Gate Core
creates mana beasts.
When a Gate is filled with mana beasts, a Crack occurs,
causing a massive outpouring of mana beasts to the outside.
If the Gate Core is destroyed, the Gate disappears.
The interior of a Gate consists of diverse environments,
mainly bizarrely twisted natural landscapes such as
jungles, wastelands, caves, seas, lava, and ice.

The heart of a mana beast. A valuable energy resource for humanity.
The color of the Core ranges from green, blue, indigo, purple,
to crimson-purple,
and the closer to crimson-purple, the higher the Core's energy.
This is referred to as the Core's purity.
The closer to crimson-purple, the higher its value.

Mana beasts vary in size from cats to the size of the sea,
depending on their grade.
Mana beasts are also grotesquely transformed forms of minerals, animals, and plants,
appearing hideous, gruesome, disharmonious, and violent.

All Hunters emit Core Energy (CE) like normal Cores and Gate Cores,
and their grade is determined by observing this with currently developed measuring devices.
If one can destroy a Gate of a specific grade alone,
they are specially given that grade.
