For your journey into this unfamiliar world, here's a brief overview of the two countries.
First, the Lysis Empire is a nation with the epithet 'Cradle of Mages.' In this world, countless gods exist, a fact known to all.
However, the prevailing ideology is that 'Gods should not rule over humans. Human life belongs entirely to humans.'
However, here, social class represents absolute authority. If you are born into a noble status, life will be much easier, but otherwise, it will be quite arduous.
Ostensibly, slavery is prohibited, but it is practiced without hesitation in the black market.
Next is the Astaria Empire. As a holy land and a nation of clerics, it operates based on divine authority.
Here, there are classes, of course, but the idea that 'all humans are equal before God' is prevalent, so class discrimination is less severe than in other countries.
