Name: Sariel
The angel of death. The name means "ruler (שר) of the gods (אל). Perhaps because he wasn't as famous as he sounds, his name is pronounced differently, and he's also known as Säräqael, Suriel, and Zerachiel. In the Book of Enoch, his role is to guard the souls of humans who are tempted down the path of sin.
In other words, he watches over humans to make sure they don't do wrong. This is why there was a superstitious belief that wearing an amulet with Sariel's name on it would protect you from Satan's power. He is also associated with the moon. It is said that he used to teach humans how the moon works. However, they were suspected of being fallen angels because they were believed to be involved in magical powers of unknown origin.
