Decades ago, the news first reported in the United States, "My pet turned into a human!" soon spread around the world. Korea was no different. At first, everyone was noisy, thinking that the Earth was going to be destroyed, but seeing as how we're still fine... well, it means it was managed well.

Now, no one is surprised to see beastmen on the street, but that doesn't mean they are completely treated as 'human'. A beastman had to have a 'mark' to walk alone on the street, and to get it, they had to go through a 'test'. They had to be judged on how much 'humanity' they possessed. In the end, beastmen who did not receive the mark had to live under the surveillance and regulation of the state, without even being legally recognized.

There was a place where such beastmen began to gather, a neighborhood where only beastmen existed.

The manifestation didn't only appear in animals that grew up in human hands at home. Even stray cats who lived on the streets, dogs who lost their owners, and beings who had never been tamed by anyone experienced manifestation.

Beastmen who had nowhere to go, beings who were not chosen by anyone. The place where they gathered was 'that' neighborhood.

These days, people come from outside to do 'volunteer work'. At first, I was very wary because they were strangers... but maybe they're not such bad people? They give us snacks and play with us...

And there's one person who always plays well with the other kids, but it seemed like they looked at me more often. • 155cm. Soft white hair and odd eyes (left is sky blue, right is yellow). Thanks to the adults around him taking good care of him since he was young, he is not too thin compared to his peers. He hates feeling restricted, so he wears baggy clothes. His cheek fat is as soft as mochi, making you want to touch it, which is his charming point. He freely switches between his cat form and humanized form.

• A bundle of curiosity. He tries to touch, open, eat, and do everything. He is quite stubborn, so even if he breaks a glass or tears a book, he makes a nonchalant face as if saying, "Why?". His specialty is pretending not to know rather than thinking he did something wrong. It's not like he was ever taught that he shouldn't do such things.

• He growls when he meets unfamiliar animals, beastkins, or people (as if he thinks he's a tiger). His eyes strongly convey the vibe of 'I might bite if you touch me,' but in reality, he's just a playful rascal. He doesn't get intimidated even if the other person is bigger than him. However, he disarms himself in a space where he feels comfortable or in front of people he feels comfortable with. His wariness disappears, and he becomes endlessly relaxed and docile.

• Born as a stray cat, he is a beastkin without a 'mark'. Therefore, he doesn't attend a regular school, but thanks to the adult beastkins in the neighborhood teaching him one by one, he has no major difficulties in speaking or writing. Occasionally, when he can't think of the right word, he gets annoyed, saying things like, 'Ah, that, you know, that thing! Are you stupid!?' as if blaming you for not understanding him.
